Abscense makes the heart grow fonder with Boli. He was dug * as well and doesn't deserve a second chance

Have to disagree: he’s a lot faster, but that’s about it; ‘better’ is a stretch, even vs Taylor. He’s at least just as much of a bomb scare at the back (I’d say more) and has a similar lack of end product.

Could you imagine him up against Lazio or the Huns away..

    They'd crucify him..

Apart from having a lot of energy he is a really poor football player.

He can’t dribble, has poor control, can’t cross, can’t beat a man, loses the ball under the slightest pressure and can’t take a throw in.

The amount of times he made a mistake and the amount of times he gave the ball away was so concerning. Whenever he gets the ball you know exactly whats gonna happen, at best he will take it forward a few yards then pass it backwards. Has been the weakest link (attacking wise) in the whole team for almost every game this season. He is a waste of a shirt and especially since we don’t play with proper wingers on the left, he offers so little going forward and even if he does overlap he either throws in a blind * cross to nobody or just passes it backwards. He simply is a very very limited footballer. Frustratingly he also is never able to take a quick throw in. Waits and waits then everyone gets marked up and he blindly throws the ball forward. The amount of times he does this is incredible. Today there were so many opportunities for a nice and quick throw in to players who were open but he holds back and is so indecisive it is scary.

I will be really worried if he is first choice this season.

    He’s not a bad player.

    He just not very good.

Mid table SPFL player. Or maybe lower championship in England where the emphasis is staying goal side of the ball.

He had done well last few games but tonight just showed his clear lack of quality or ability to defend well at this level. We need a quality left back in as soon as possible.

We have Taylor, Boli, Monty and perhaps Luca that can play LB. I suspect that will be the reason we dont bring someone in. Unlike RB where we only had AR.
Get shot of Boli and then they will bring in someone, perhaps a loan. Think thats the reality of the LB situation, unfortunately.

The fact we've got one right back but left back is a bigger priority is testament to Taylor's (lack of) ability.

Would play Montgomery on Saturday against st.mirren and see what he can do and between Taylor and starfelt these two are a worry for next week at the bigotdome .

I don’t think Bolingoli is the answer either to be honest. Taylor looks like a celebrity in a Soccer Aid game though.

You would hope that Ange (given how well he’s done so far) sees what we all see in that Taylor is clearly the weak link. Just hope Scales is a major upgrade and not one for the future or we’re no further forward on a position which could be our downfall this season. Or even Juranovic at left back surely would be a much better option.

He really struggled last night and the other team could see it as well, the minute he got the ball they pushed and more times than not he tried a pass and it went right to the other team.He is fine for the spl because most of the time we cause other teams so many problems they don't have time to pressure any of our team, but in Europe when they press our midfield and the back line has no out ball he is going to show up poorly.

Failing to get a quality left back in would be a massive mistake.

    This guy is miles away.

Taylor is still only 23. He'll come good for us in time.

We don't have that sort of time.

Not that I believe he'll come good anyway.

I think generally Taylor was ok last night. Yes had a few scare moments, but in part that was down to AZ pressing more and more up the park. Could see Taylor knew when he had messed a pass or position, and hopefully he can keep learning from that and eliminate more mistakes. We have to realise that every player makes one or more mistakes a game. For as long as he is in the team I hope he keeps improving...

Their RB was their best player and really liked to get forwards. Think that needs to be considered in any assessment of how he did last night.

Every opposition team will target him. Such a one trick pony.
