    PL cracked up that story leaked to the press that the price was £3 million.

    My dad was talking to at Greg Taylor’s dad again eday. Said they had been in talks but lawells went nuts coz the story was leaked to the press that it’s £3mill. Told Kilmarnock the deal is off, he said Greg’s totally gutted

    eff knows if Lawell is unhappy it’s just been leaked to the press or the value is too high n ata how he’s canned it but er you go.

    Would prefer Meling but there’s no doubt Taylor could be a good buy.

    He’s played week in week out for Kilmarnock over the last 2 years and earned an international call up.

    Most of us were excited about Turnbull who only had a good 6 month spell, Taylor has been consistently good for consecutive seasons.

    Wouldn’t pay £3m though.

    This basically tells us that any half decent player in our league is now 3m. The big difference between him and Turnball is Turnball looked far more exciting. 3m because we know they are capable in our league. We should be giving sweeteners like loans to cut money off.

    Celtic have been looking to sign a left-back since Kieran Tierney left the Hoops for the riches of the Premier League in a mega money move to Arsenal. And it appears that the Scottish champions might have finally found their man in the form of Kilmarnock left-back, Greg Taylor.
    A number of left-backs have been linked with the Scottish champions since the departure of their star man, Kieran Tierney, for a reported £25 million. The Scot’s departure has left a hole in the Celtic squad that summer arrival Boli Bolingoli has not been able to fill in his shaky first few months at the club.


    The major two targets that Celtic have been linked with are Rosenborg’s Birger Meling
    and Kilmarnock’s Greg Taylor. But now it appears that the Scottish left-back has stolen a march on the Norwegian after reports emerged that he had made his desire to join Celtic known to Kilmarnock officials.

    Taylor, who came up through the youth ranks at Rangers, is reportedly very keen on joining the club that was once upon a time his Derby rival. But despite his desires, Celtic will be asked to pay a fee in the region of £3 million for the 21-year-old’s services according to the Daily Record. Interestingly, that is the same fee that they paid Rapid Vienna for Bolingoli earlier in the summer.


    While the transfer fee could be a sticking point for Celtic, they might not have too much of a choice with Birger Meling not for sale until Rosenborg’s UEFA Champions League Play-Off tie against Dinamo Zagreb is over. The second leg will be held on 27th of August and with mere days left in the Scottish transfer window after that, it might be a huge risk for the Hoops to leave important business undone till such a late point.

    Thus, do not be surprised to see Greg Taylor in a Celtic shirt in the near future. After all, he already has the experience of replacing Kieran Tierney when he turned up for Scottish national team against Belgium earlier this yea
