Was looking at landry nguemo's career earlier, and was sad to see he never won a trophy at his time with us. Got me thinking who are some of the players who performed brilliantly here, but never won anything. Could we even do an 11?

I know the poor guy has passed away and it's gutting, but wouldn't get near the team.

John Collins deserved far more from his time with us. Single handedly kept us even half relevant in the league for years.

I know that wasn't really your question but felt he deserved an honourable mention.

He was a fantastic defender at a time when Celtic were pretty dire in the early 90's. Closes he came to silverware was a couple of Cup Final defeats - although he did win a couple of Scottish Football Player of the Year awards - but as part of a team, sadly not.

Arguably the best CB I've seen at the club. An absolute monster who had pace, aggression, good on the ball and fantastic in the air.

Didn't read first post and thought Di Canio was deid. Was like * *, how'd I miss that.

Agree with the above names, think you'd need to go back quite a long way to find better players than those above that won nothing. If you change it to having won cups but never the league, you can include Van Hooijdonk at least.

Did we have anyone 2002-3 who was only there for a season?

Only one I can think of, from the top of my head was Javier Sanchez Broto, who we got in on loan in January, from Livi or somewhere, lol and played 6-7 times. We needed a keeper at the time, as both Douglas and Hedman were out injured, David Marshall wasn't quite ready, and think even Johnathan Gould was still floating about and had a game or two?

This man is a charlatan. A useless lump of a guy who couldn't turn if he was a spinning top. How he is still playing is unbelievable. There must be a * up there if he is letting that guy be a footballer. He is, in all my 60 years of watching celtic the worst defender I have ever seen.. and I have seen a few

Collins was a fantastic player for us,no doubt about it, but wasn't single handed. Paul McStay was the main man during that time and deserved far more titles/medals than he got.
