Has to be Martin. He wasn't only successful, he also brought the thunder and hope back to Paradise.

Martin Oneill wins this hands down for me but the most important was Wim Jansens year in charge:50: Cant fault WGS either though he was a great manager too and done us proud....

QUOTE=blackfish;2040922]Jansen stopped 10 and that is the single most important thing since the takeover in 94, if they had got ten we would have been finished, totally demoralised.

Jansen brought us Henrik and Henrik made MON's team tick which laid the foundations for WGS. It is not just about trophies and success it is about the importance and significance of what the manager did for us. Wim "second worst thing to hit Hiroshima - tabloid scum" Jansen did that for us and saved us from an eternity of those unwashed bigots ranting about it.

    It has to be Jansen

ps he also gave us the best bit of rhyming slang as well "whit you doin tonight? you goin up the Wim Jansen?"[/QUOTE]

This. Its got to be wim jansen hands down for me!

A mind doing into most spl games under o'neil and thinking we'll take 5 6 or 7 of them.

    ONE NEIL LENNON!!!

If we manage to win the league this year it will be the sweetest league win since stopping the 10 in row, with all the decisions, media pressure and pure hatred been directed at lennon, so i went for lennon. (fingers crossed)

Credit must go to Strachan, O Neill and Jansen as any manager winning a league gets my vote.

Hail Hail........ or as Beram Kayal would say Hill Hill.

I would have voted apart from the fact you put GREATEST manager - to that extent I'd say none of the above.

We've had some good managers but I haven't seen a great manager at Parkhead for a long time.

Great for me means playing the Celtic way and winning trophies. In the past 20 years we've either played fantastic football with little success (Tommy Burns, may he rest in peace), or played some quite ugly football with good success (Strachan).

I'm living in hope that Lenny will be our next great manager since Big Jock.

I went for Martin O'Neil, because Ibelieve that he lifted our club from the depths and took the necessary steps to put us back at the top where we belong, he brought our dominance back here in Scotland, and he restored our strength in Europe. Plus he attracted big stars to our club at a time when we were nobodys competively. He also gave me memories that will live with me forever, Seville etc, and what a tremendous embassador for Celtic Football Club. I know it's early days, but I have that same feelgood factor about Neil Lennon, and I think there has been a lot of tutorial going on in the background to assist Lenny's adaption from just being a fan into becoming our manager. My prediction, is that Lenny will also propel us back to where we belong. Lenny mate, "You will never walk alone"

I'd say Martin O'Neill, but tempted to go with Jansen as he brought King Henke to us.

Got to Martin O'Neill winning 3 titles and probably 6 goals away from winning 5 and a Uefa cup(if we'd beat Porto 4-3, Motherwell 3-2 and kilmarnock 6-0) everybody says about O'Neil having money but so did Rangers at that time, WGS didn't have as much but neither did Rangers, plus money doesn't buy you success, I think it will be a hard choice in a couple of seasons when we have to vote mentor or pupil?

Voted for MON but a big shout was to Wim Jansen, simply for what he achieved in his solo season. Stopped the 10 will be one of the highlights in Celtic's history becasue of him. WGS also! its been said before, his team wasnt always nice to watch but they were * good!! MON hands down tho!

You know, I WOULD say Martin... until that nonsense about agreeing to a deal with Peter Ridsdale... both were slimey and at fault... he wasn't Celtic through and through... he saw the money and thought he could bolt...

So, I'll have to go w/ WGS.

I picked WGS as I don't think that he had the money that O'Neil had and carved those titles out of next to nothing but to be honest MON was right up there to. In the personality stakes I probably prefered MON but again WGS wasn't without his own charm even if he drove us mental at times

I honestly think that he will be :celt_2: Many of us haven't realised it yet but I think that we're witnessing the beginings of something special in Lennon :50: Gives me goosebumps just thinking about it :celt_2:

MON all the way :50: Although i hope Neil will emulate his success and in future polls it will be a 2 way battle between them, have to say what Neil has been through has certainly made him more loved by the fans, he might not have won anything yet or might not win anything but he should definetly be here next season, no point in starting all over again.:celt_2: Fisrt post :52: HAIL HAIL.
