Cinematic trailer for five was exact same effects as the gameplay rockstar don’t like to make trailers superior to gameplay effects

I seriously can't wait, the average Florida man makes Trevor from GTA 5 look like a sane, calm, and collected person

Yeah, I thought that was odd ?!? I've just started playing GTA 5 online (first time playing anything online) after years of playing the GTA series in 'story mode' and finding it really confusing, was hoping to be able to chat about it and maybe get some tips or advice, but can't see any discussion on it ? I've got 100% competition in story mode and thought I knew the game inside out, but the online version is total information overload man, I'm being constantly bombarded with options and challenges etc........ feels like I need to adjust something in my settings to stop the screen being awash with text information when I'm trying to play ??

Online was good back in the day.
If you played GTA5 at launch, then got in to online a couple weeks later when that launched you transitioned fairly easily to it.

Since then it's been 13 years of constantly adding new "modes" new challenges, new missions, new characters etc.
It's went from * around with your mates doing some typical GTA sidequest stuff to becoming your own businessman who runs a drug farm, running heists and generally expanding on the online server. To now being a complete cluster * of insane levels of additional "modes" layered on top of each other.

If you're jumping in now, I'd imagine you've got all the Simone missions you get at the start, which was easy enough to navigate, to all the mental nonsense plus about 5 other Simone released modes and extra all bombarding you with tbings you want to do.

My advice (and I've not played it for years now), you'll want to pick one of the characters getting in touch and focus on completing their missions. Then move on to the next.

Sounds like good advice Peej, thanks mate. Do you recommend focusing on the Simone ones to start with, and if I do, is there anyway to stop the constant almost pop-up like stream of alternative suggestions that plaster themselves over the screen telling me about other things I can do ? If you can point me in the right direction here I'll be good to go and I'll be sure to suss it out as I go, but having just started on it the other day and only played about 3× one/two hour sessions, I've spent the entire time either bamboozled with all the info, or running around like a madman trying not to get killed. There's some ninja * who seems to be stalking me, I killed him twice last night which I was chuffed about, but he's killed me about 15 * times !! I've got a pistol, a mini machine gun, and a feckin snowball launcher........ he's scoping me with a Lazer from feckin miles away and killing me before I even see him on the radar/mini map. It's as if he's sussed out I'm a newbie and he's taking the *. I'm already starting to find my feet though and sharpening up, I've not played it for about 6/8 months when I'd totally exhausted the Story mode, so I'm a bit rusty and the online thing is a different level, but I'll get there, just need a bit of a plan/strategy to get me up and running. Once I've got used to it and got a few quid together for upgrading my weapons etc I'll be sorted.

I'd like to think there will be an option to disable the notifications, but honestly can't be sure. I'd imagine it may disable all of them though.

Simone ones I think was the first batch of missions. They done a few batches of his though so lord knows how deep down that rabbit hole you may end up.

But yeah, I'd imagine starting there would be fine while you get to grips with it.

That or find a game mode you enjoy and just ignore all that other stuff - for me it was the racing but never the GTA rules (the ones where folk just got out the cars and blew you up).

I used to hate gta online, could never go 5 minutes without some wee * attacking me constantly. I then came across a thing where you set up your connection settings where you are in a public lobby but no one else is there, which was a * send. Can't mind the details how to do it but do some googling yourself, if you can't find anything I'll have a look at my settings see if I can suss it out.

BUT....I think Rockstar changed it so that you can do sell missions on invite only mode. Meaning you can do your thing and build up your money without * harassing you.

All that out the road, what you need above all is the Kosatka. Once you get that all set up it's by far the best way to make money. Obviously takes a bit of getting used to but once you've done it a few times it's * easy, and can do it over and over and get a million+ each time.

There's videos on YouTube ranking all businesses, vehicles etc and how best to do all the missions. I got into it a year ago or something and found it's class when you start building businesses and don't have to worry about wee wanks giving you grief. Great way to de-stress and kill a bit of time :50:

You can do all the missions in a closed session that should stop you getting greifers as they are called spoiling your game
