Gordon Strachan's Management (6 Mergered)

is the whole point of being a manager not about improving a team and have constant progress. fair enough wgs has taken us further than any manager in recent times BUT under his management and tactical ability i cant see us going into the last 16 again never mind the quarters.

 

Riordan was bought for £200,000 or less never 2M. His contract for some stupid reason was up in October that year, which meant he couldnt play for us until january. We signed him in the summer on a pre contract and agreed compo with Hibs for the rest of the contract.

 

How did he manage to get there twice then and dont say luck.

 

i think everyone that has watched celtic over the past 3 years can see that strachan has year on year made the team worse.

thats the reason celtic fans dont like him nothing to do with him not being irish.

 

He won cis cup in his first season 3-0 dunfirmeline,the jinky final!!

 

How has he managed to put together such a terrible run of form and dont say bad luck

I actually agree with your post but you have got to get your facts right mate.

 

im not saying luck... even though it had some factor in qualifying. Martain oniell had the same amount of points but didnt go through., theres something to think about.

But what im saying the team has no fight and no passion and i cant see strachan bringing that to the team. His layed back attitude is no way acceptable for the manager of one of biggest clubs in the world. We are supported all over the world and the WGS is not exactly giving us a good image.

Easy to just say. 'Agree.' Specially as you've picked two of the biggest under achievers in the team as your favourite players. Oh and you got the 'Wee' 'Ginger' & '*' bit but forgot the 'Orange' bit.

So instead of having the reason for getting rid of Strachan as, 'He's a wee ginger *.' You should have said. 'He's a wee ginger orange *.'

That way we'd all know where you're coming from.

the last 2 last 16 gettin there was with 2 last min goals this season, puta bit gloss on are season and agaisnt copenhagen and benfica who are not good teams

2 cups out of 6 in 3 years, knocked out twice this season at home
and your forgetting the 1-0 agaisnt clyde 1st season, should of been easy

Caldwell is not his worst signing and has been better then mcmanus latly the past few weeks, the thing is he makes big blunders and they dont get forgotten and when he palys very good, he still wanted to go

read recently riordan cost 100,000, and even if he cost 2 mil, shouldnt of been classes as bad, he never got a chance

 

Do i really need to answer that, If larsson had played in his team we would not be as far behind rangers and out 2 cups? Because we would have had a true world class striker to put the ball in the net, with the chances we are creating.

Then again you could say if Boruc was not in this team we could be further behind.

 

That's why it is a bad signing, what's the point in buying someone if your not going to play them. Fair enough if their young and just play for the reserves but Riordan is 25 and playing for the reserves.
