Never been more nervous, then more buzzing for a single athlete in my life.

The media can go * themselves now.

    Wow that was * unreal.

Proper emotional and I'm made up for the guy, even though I'm not his biggest fan. Amazing.

Scheffler in the cabin was * hilarious

Think he’s told to get out the way and it’s all a bit awkward. Getting slated on Twitter for being rude. Far more normal here.

Dunno how people can’t like him when you’ve got * like Patrick Reed on the tour.

People don’t like how he’s been put on a pedestal up with the greats when he hadn’t won in 11 years. But that pressure for the Masters was building since 2011 and got even greater with each major win, and each Masters failure.

People don’t realise how mental it is that he’s won a career slam. 6 people have done it in history and he’s 35 years old. One of them was in the 1930’s ffs. Nothing stopping him going and getting a 2nd one which 2 people have done, Tiger and Nicklaus on 3 each.

It’s possible to dislike both. Which a lot of people do, myself included. It’s a great achievement, I don’t think anyone is disagreeing with that. Still doesn’t mean he can’t be a fud though.

Brilliant drama. His shot at the sudden death hole was brilliant. So was Rose’s approach to be honest, but he just didn’t catch enough of the slope to bring it back towards the hole.

He’s not as disliked as you think.

There’s far worse * than him on the tour too, I probably wouldn’t go for a pint with him mind you.

Who Reed? He is very disliked by a lot of golf fans. Rightly so, the boys a *. In fact, he was probably the only player that was kind of in with a sniff that I wouldn’t have wanted to win before McIlroy.

Think with all elite sportspeople there's a certain degree of arrogance required and their perspective on things can get lost while they're in the bubble of their careers. Probably better to just analyse and appreciate them for their skill and achievements than their personality or character (within reason of course). Happy for McIlroy to get the monkey off his back and hopefully the media chill out now that he's made history and can just compete to win the trophy like every * else from now on. Disappointed in the way BDC and Aberg faltered in the end and fair play to Justin Rose for an incredible final round.

Ryder Cup year as well, gonna be a great year to watch golf.

Can't disagree with any of that, spot on man.

For me I just find Rory a bit cringe on a personal level. It's quite irrational on my part if I'm totally honest. The occasional yank twang in his accent, and I just find him a bit of an awkward dude, his humour and that forced laugh make me grimace. The whole "what are we all gonna talk about next year ha ha ha ha" was so rehearsed and unnatural. Also, I know he was forced into being a mouthpiece for the tour but I got bored of all the liv chat as I'm sure he did too.

Not explaining my dislike (which is nothing compared to how much some hate him) too well here, I absolutely love his golf, and in Europe colours can't get enough of him. But as a guy I too often find myself thinking, shut up mate. Bit of a try-hard to be likeable maybe, I dunno. Almost like he is disingenuous. Anyway, what a * achievement, great he got it done.

See I understand your logic more than any other tbh and that’s my reasoning for saying I wouldn’t go for a pint with him. I definitely don’t dislike him for that though.

I hope he opens up a bit and relaxes now. Would love to see him do a second slam.

That was one of the best final rounds of a major in recent years, really enjoyable watch.

I took a major dislike to him when he kept on banging on about players going to LIV. Just turned into a mouthpiece. Just needed to shut the * up and worry about himself.

Just had to post this. Unbelievable having the balls to even attempt this, never mind pull it off so perfect, after the pressure he put himself under a few holes before.

One of, if the the, best shots ever. Deserved the title for this shot alone.
