Yeah, if a couple of putts had dropped for him then he’d be sitting very pretty under par.

The course is playing absolutely brutal, I suspect +1 won’t look bad at all come the close of today’s play.

Yes this afternoon could well see a lot of big rivals struggle. Yes Bob could very well be 4 shots off the pace for tomorrow, and a more than excellent chance to really close the gap:50:

Horror start for Bob, bad luck with the tee time going into worst of the wind now. Can still pull it back but will be very hard.

Bob has done well to be fair to him after a terrible start. Think your bet is done but he’s played really well later today.

I put a few each way bets on for this and only Lowry has any chance of coming in! Big boys dropping like flies on that course, crazy how few players are under par.

Glad to see McIlroy miss the cut. MacIntyre done very well to stay around for the weekend. Still loads in with a chance as there’s always a chance of racking up a big number. Japanese boy come back in 52 earlier. Could hit it round in less with a snooker cue.

Great to see Mcilroy flop in another major, the course was playing tough but snap hooking a wedge about 50 yards wide of the green is completely inexcusable, his head has totally gone.

Hopefully big Lowry can keep it going, did brilliantly well to keep his cool after that carry on with the drop on 11 and finished strongly.

After what happened at Pinehurst, I think that’s McIlroy over and out with major wins. The 10 year wait was clearly playing on his mind in the closing holes at Pinehurst, and I think it will just be too much mentally for him to fully recover from that. He is a * into the bargain as well so it’s good to see him toiling. Wee mouthpiece that he is.

Yes he fought back brilliantly , showing the guts and sheer natural talent that will see him win a major in the next couple of years.

What a day! Sat at 14th green all day and saw every single one of the players play through!

Golf really needs to get its act together in diversity though. It really is upper class white dominated elitism.

Its more white than ice hockey

I do agree but the juxtaposition on the greatest ever list is clear as day, the best to ever pick up a driver is black :56:

Yes, but what did Ben Crenshaw “jokingly” say about his first champions dinner menu at Augusta in the most derogatory racist manner?

Both him and VJ must’ve made that shower vomit with their success.

The crowds are predominantly male and white, despite the greatest to ever pick up a driver.
He is still in the tiniest minority in the sport and it’s not funny.

We have battled to rid the sport of the male only clubs and many of them reluctantly came kicking and screaming to do so, but despite the success of one of, if not, the greatest ever player in the sport there are no signs that things are changing in the demographics in the vast majority of the crowd.

I'm no too up to date with all this stuff, just reading your post and wondering are there black players thar are good enough to mix it with the best of them, and if yes then are they being deliberately shunted out?

Should be a cracking day of golf today. So many players in with a chance. Think Schauffele and Scheffler are the danger men. Quite like Horschel and wouldn’t mind seeing him get over the line though.

Looking forward to this today. The weather is a joke though. Mid July and even Bob McIntyre is wearing a woolly hat :giggle1:

I love it when the conditions are like that for them. They basically play in scorching sun every week and it’s a birdie fest. The conditions they are playing in today are what us mere mortals play in almost every medal.
