This could end up a pumping. Burns taking a month off and then getting picked is a strange one. It showed as well. Lowry and Straka on paper looked the weak link but they have been brilliant. The last game looks crucial here already I think. A 4-0 and I don’t see America overcoming that, even at this early stage. Hovland has taken his game to a different level. Couldn’t chip for toffee, has put an unbelievable amount of work into that part of his game clearly, and now looks like the leader in this team.

Great to see Europe winning but i always like the excitement on the last day when it’s close. Looks like this could be a bit one sided.

If Europe can somehow sneak 2 points out the fourballs then what a day it’s been

Every time they cut to MacIntyre he’s missing a putt. Had a poor day.

    Hovland is immense.

MacIntyre is a man down, weak link in group.

Obviously he got in just, but think he was way off form going into this.

Maybe a course where rough actually means rough, is * the Americans up where maybe some Europeans are used to playing such conditions is helping them. To be fair the Americans didn’t play well this morning and really never picked up this afternoon. Could be a long day for them tomorrow.

The course was set up like that for that in mind. Some lead to take into tomorrow.

Just need to keep up the momentum and hope for more of the same tomorrow.

It is fair enough, like football narrowing the pitch, cricket leaving the grass slightly greener, etc… just home advantage. Is that the best start for Europe on day one ? I saw that the opening pairs 4 nil lead in the morning was a first.

Best morning session that Europe have ever has at the start.

USA did not prepare well for this. No competition to keep them sharp for the last 6 weeks.

Scheffler and one other only arrived at the venue to join their team the other day and didn't have any practice.

Rahm is a machine. Should be good watching tomorrow, with the hoops game taking precedent of course. :ynwacelti

That’s exactly why it is set up like that. Americans are used to being able to blast it about and it’s still a birdie fest. That was one of the reasons why I started to fancy Europe the closer it got. The four balls yesterday afternoon will have been a hammer blow. Looking like a 3-1 win to get right back in the tournament but end up losing the session. I can see this being practically all over today.
