I’m not that impressed to be honest, I have never really rated him.

On saying that, I do not think he’s terrible either. I think he will be OK.

However, what pleases me about this loan deal is that, no extra cost has been accrued, so there are no excuses now for not going out and getting a striker!

His kicking and composure improved, so did his ability to perform in big games after his nervous 3-1 match. And there's a reason he's gone from playing at Stockport to Celtic. Far better than McGregor at this age.

People whine all the time about how bad Forster's kicking is, or how he doesn't shout at the defense enough. Do those characteristics really make him unable to save shots? Not really. We haven't got any tall player to kick the ball to, anyway. And the defense shouldn't need a 200+ cm mountain shouting at them to do their job.

I'm saying he had a massive part to play in it or do you think the keeper with the most clean sheets ever in a season had * all to do with it?

More than Artur Boruc in the same shity league and a shity defence infront of him.

Is that all there is to a goalkeeper? saving shots?...i think not.

There's a lot more to it than that

Superb the big mans back he has a bright future a head of him, yes he has a few things in his game needing work on but having the option to sign him is a huge bonus this boy has broke records where ever he has gone at the age of 23 that is pretty impressive imo. :50:

How much might we have to pay to sign him permenantly???

    Welcome back Fraser :50:Hail Hail:shamrock:

I we know what were getn a big lanky diddy who cant control his back 4, dusnae command the box he looks shakey coming out for corners he panicks wae the ball at his feet and as for having time to grow he'l no be allowed to you have to hit the ground running at celtic and a few early mistakes could have the rest of his fans seeing him for the dud he is.

But hes here so good luck to him. I hope he proves me wrong.

The poll results are surprising. I'm glad the vast majority of fans are happy he's back... he's a good keeper and his record proves that.

Best news I've had all week. He's no the best in the world, but:

    1. He's better than Zaluska.
    2. Clean sheet record last year.
    3. Knows the club/players and will fit in immediatly!
    4. No transfer fee - get a forward in!

Hail Hail and bring on Thu

Quite happy at this but Zaluska will start the season as number 1

Disagree. He's there to make sure goals are not conceded. All else is not necessarily his job.

    Few points:

    - He was part of a very successful defensive unit last season, and there's no reason why that can't be the case again this year.

-We know he can do a job for us domestically. But like most of the squad, he remains an unknown quantity for Europe.

    - He is an improvement on our current goalkeeper.

    - We have another year to see how he progresses, this time with the option to make it permanent.

    - He's a familiar face, so won't need a 'settling in period'

All in all, I'm happy with this one.

I'm very happy with this, I would like us to try and sign him permanently next summer, hopefully when we have a bit more money from the Champions League waiting for us.

He's also 3rd choice behind Steve harper, and Tim krul a player who was average at a * SPL side - falkirk.

    Plenty better keepers out there.[/QUOTE]

Who was solid at the age of about 12 with Falkirk.........
