Gordon has been in bits for nearly two seasons now....... solid keeper, no bedding in period. That's a win people!

Happy enough with this at this stage in the window, he had an amazing number of clean sheets last year.

Some serious * being spouted . The guy was below average last year ( hopefully due to his age )
He doesn't " love " the club he loves Newcastle . The only reason he might stay for a long time is if nobody else wants him . I don't know why people are getting so excited over a keeper who is only just a step up on zalsuska ( and that is only in some areas ) glad the saga is over but think its a poor appointment given how long they have had to find a keeper .

24 clean sheets in 44 games below average is it?

wouldnt have been my choice but i'm glad we've a keeper sorted and can move on to our final signing of the summer a target man.
Hopefully at 23 Forster will keep improving, he needs to boss his area much more.

It doesn't matter whether you think it flatters him or not the fact is he got them.

Everybody always says we have a dodgy defence and now it is claimed that FF is a dodgy goalkeeper but the record clean sheets (I REPEAT THE RECORD) is because of the league we're in. Were I assume this record is a scoosh and stood for 9 years or so just out of * luck.

    Jesus christ I'm confused here.

I dont think it was as many as that anyway, i think that was the record set, and Zaluska made 6 or so of the clean sheets.

The clean sheets aren't down to Forster alone, it's down to the huge amounts of possesion and work put in from our midfield and defence.

That on top of very weak opposition last season, in all honesty.

24 clean sheets is a great records for a team, It's not down to one player.

THat's not how you should judge a goalkeeper at a club who dominates the league alongside 1 other club.

    You should judge the goalkeeper on performances and his attributes, and for me his performances were average ( alot to with the fact he didn't actually have much to do throughout last season) i can remember a handful of great saves, and fairplay i don't doubt he's a good shotstopper, what i do doubt though is;

he can't kick ( no he did not improve as the season went on, because i recall many of kicks going astray)

    He doesn't command his defence.

He's rooted to his line more often than not, for a 6 foot 7 goalkeeper that's ridiculous.

He opts to punch more often than catch, which i'm not a fan of.

He doesn't get down quick enough, despite having a good reaching distance, but i suppose you can expect that from a man of his size.

He's also 3rd choice behind Steve harper, and Tim krul a player who was average at a * SPL side - falkirk.

    Plenty better keepers out there.

None of us knew Sandomierski ten days ago, but for some reason, there a lot of people reckon he's a world beater. FF is a good choice. imo a far more astute guy to have at the club than Boruc. Boruc was good for WGS for two years but he became woeful!
FF is a good choice but I would'nt drop Zaluska yet, that would wreck any confidence he has. Zaluska was awesome at United, and there were not many fans moaning when we signed him, he's struggled to earn 1st pick status but I believe he deserves to play Thursday at least. Maybe this Sandomierski would have struggled playing at Parkhead, we don't know. GK is a very fragile position and your better with the beast you know, and in FF we have a young guy who took to playing at Parkhead like a duck to water, if he continues to improve we'll have a * of a goalie on our hands.

Never said world beater, not even nearly what i said, i said he's better than forster,(a 3rd choice goalkeeper at a poor premiership side) albeit i formed an opinion from what i've heard from other people, which i don' usually do.

As for the bolded bit, what a load of nonsense.
