Haha sorry mate, just caught up with the thread now. Replied to your first post then read my way through the rest of it. :50:

No offence but I think it's a bit silly to say a goalkeeper who you've never seen play would be better than a goalkeeper who kept 24 clean sheets for Celtic last season.

Never really been impressed with him tbh. However, he done a job and I'm sure he'll do it again.

Perhaps, i'm no usually a man who forms opinions from what people have told me, but that's all i can form it on Sandomierski atm.

Maybe wrong to say Grzegorz is better, but I'm not that happy with Forster, Craig Gordon is definitley better, maybe he's not available atm though so i don't know what's happenign there.

He did keep 24clean sheets last season, yeap, but i think that flatters him a bit, usually if you seen that sort of record with a goalkeeper you'd think "ah, outstanding" he was not outstanding. He was okay imo.

I've given my reasons why i'm not happy with the signing. Valid reasons too. :50:

    Great news!

I'm happy about it only being a loan. There will be a clause in the contract to buy him at the end of the season when hopefully we will have a UCL kitty and in a better position financially.

It also means we aren't splashing money if a better player (Gordon) becomes available around January and our "Warchest" hasn't taken a big dunt with the deal.

    Perfect imo.

I was sorry to see him go, so I should be happy to see him back.. but with some of the names we were linked with he seems like a bit of a step down.

That said he did the job for us last season.. a few issues that I am sure our goalkeeping coaches can iron out over the course of the season. Solid enough to be in goals for us this season.

It's about time we sorted it. Let's see if he can play even better than last season now that we are more settled as a club.
Now let's get the finger out and get a striker

That's one ofmy problems with the signing though, why sign someone that we need to work on, when we can sign an experienced goalkeeper who isn't number 3 behind Tim Krul an ex falkirk player.

Aye its fair comment, but I feel that this transfer window has been really tough and trying to find a decent goalkeeper has proved challenging. I would rather have him back on loan for a season when we know what were are getting, than sign an unknown quantity. This affords us a year to look for a permanent replacement, or allow Forster to improve.. rather than rushing head long in to a deal.

It's evident that this is the cheap/easy option by the board,, something tells me we haven't got the money.

Either that, or the board are just being tight-arsed *.

Glad to have the big man back, quite happy with the deal aswell, season-long loan with a view to making it permanent - a win/win situation for me.

I'm happy enough to have big Forster back. I think he did well for us last season.

I'd be lying if I said I'm not hoping we make a move for Craig Gordon in January though.
