He does, but I'm not sure he'd want to come here.

He's knocking on the door of the England squad now, and he might feel that the EPL should be his next step...

i loved artur but i do think given is the answer, although he said money is not an issue i think the fee man city will be looking for will be too much, especially for a gk,i would love to sign him though.

Artur is a fantastic keeper when his head is straight, but I definitely would NOT want him back at Celtic. As much as I love him he is a mentalist, and our current squad seems to have a certain harmony thats been lacking for some time.....In other words, I'd be worried that he'd, in classic Artur fashion, rock the boat.

I don't think Artur would make the same mistake, and become too complacent again, considering, he acknowledged it, and apologised for it.

The Celtic Song, I have an original '45 vynal record
The base line is a 'keeper who has the confidence of our back line and one who can organise a wall when necessary. Of the listed keepers, Shay would do. Artur was great but he won't come imo, Fraser I have never been really comfortable. Other names? Some we defo could not afford and I know little of Westwood etc. to make a judgement.

given .. all day long . Great thing about goalkeepers .. is that they have a shelf life well into their early 40s.

If i was lennon , id be busting my balls to try sign given . :50: make it happen lenny!!

Boruc maybe has got his head sorted but he is not the keeper he once was. Not a chance he will come back to Glasgow anyway.

Forster, just dont think he is worth the money Newcastle are wanting, but do think he will turn into a class keeper in years to come.

Given for me all day long, still has a good 4 years at the very top and has been consistent for years in the premiership.

given, naw because he,s irish because a quality keeper and if he is willing to come for 20 grand or so a week then give him a 3 year contract, if he,s wanting the big bucks, then he could go back to newcastle or who ever else down there pays 60 or so grand a week:50:

Boruc would be mental to come back to celtic. He's got his head straightened out and looks to be heading to the EPL after an excellent season at fiorentina. He was one, if not their most consistent players. They are likely in the summer going to make a very nice profit on selling him. Celtic allowed him to get into the shape he was instead of giving him a boot up the backside. I blame the club as much as the player for that. Celtic were as desperate to get rid of his wages as he maybe was for a new challenge. We lost an excellent keeper for a ridiculously low transfer fee.

Given id hope we can get. The team has to start the season with a 'N0.1' on the park

Fraser Forster - To young and flappy, he cant command the area well enough and his kicking is 50/50, he my be good enough for most of the SPL games but i dont think he is good enough for Europe unfortunately.

Shay Given -Too injury prone for my liking, great keeper but you need consistency in defence if hes injured more than hes fit the defence just wont gel.

Artur Boruc - I loved Arthur every minute at Celtic but he admitted himself he become lazy and you saw that in his later stages of his career at Celtic some terrible terrible mistakes and a cost us few points/games because of this (although the games he saved us prob out numbered them :86: )

I went for someone else im not sure who but a few keepers i would love to be considered are Julian Speroni rate him really highly or Kasper Schmeichel think Peters son is a rare talent and has a huge career in front of him a club like Celtic would turn this lad into an excellent keeper.

Given is a world class goalkeeper. I'd take him in a flash if City gave him a free, which I think they will. They don't want him going to an English club, and would be quite happy for us to take him IMO. It's possible they may even give him a pay off to sweeten the deal and make any drop in wages for him worthwhile.

Artur has been linked with a move to Bologna, pretty bizarre.

I don't see Artur comming back, on paper Given would be a good signing but his recurring shoulder injury is something that would be a concern.
