    Given. Simply because we couldn't afford to buy Forster, nor would Pardew sell him now after the well he played up at CP, and Arthur won't come back because other clubs will come in for him that can offer CL.

    Given if we have the choice. We cannot pass up the opportunity to sign someone of his quality.

    I wouldn't be adverse to Forster returning though but I would never sign Boruc back.

    Arguably no, but if they were looking for a good cheap goalkeeper why not?

    Either way, Boruc left Celtic to help his career, which he felt was stagnating, I can't see him come back, although I would embrace him with open arms.

    Shay given, it would give the whole team confidence having him in goals, i think he'd gladly take a wage cut aswell.

    I think that is a very good point. The impact of having a big name like Shay Given join the club would be a huge boost and, for a defender, knowing that the man in nets is very, very good helps the confidence level.

    He kept Newcastle in the EPL for about 5 years when their defence was crap too, imagine what he would be like for Celtic with a half decent defence in front of him?

    I starting to let me mind run away with me here but with Given and a decent centre half, we could win the Europa league.

    Artur wont come back and he shouldnt really. He belonged to uniquely successful era with loads of titles and great CL runs. Why would he come back and spoil the memories in a young team who have done little and who cant be in the CL for at least 18 months?

    Shay Given probably costs more in fees and wages than we pay now. I would say 3m tops fee and he needs to take a drop in wages to the sort of level our current top players are on. Cant see us buying him otherwise.

    Forster is a decent goalie in the making but far from fully developed. Again, it would be crazy if his club want more than 2-3 million for a guy in that stage of development.

    MY feeling is that we wont pay the money for either Shay or Fraser because you just dont get value for money in EPL players. IN my experience the general standard of goalie is far higher in a lot of continental countries and you get better value there.

    Forster did ok but no more. Poorest mobility I've ever seen in a pro keeper.
    Given too old and too expensive.
