I just looked at the replay and it was close but yes it probably was going wide or maybe off the outside of the post.

 

He didn’t cost us against Livingston. We should never be relying on a late penalty to win a game, that’s on the entire team.

 

He hasn't had much game time, I think he is bit rusty and will need a few more games to get sharper

We've been struggling for goals against the huns for a while, and we struggle big time for goals with Giako leading the line.

 

Have to agree that he shouldnt start on Wednesday.

But Ange seems to have a real belief in him.

Maybe the greek connection, who knows.

The top three teams in Holland last year were Ajax, PSV and AZ, I looked to see how many goals from open play he scored against them, from two starts against Ajax he scored once away from home, two starts against PSV he scored zero, two starts against AZ he scored once away from home

Then I looked to see if he scored from open play against the top two teams in Greece (Olympiakos and PAOK) over the last few years during his time there, he scored twice against Olympiakos, one at home and one away, with zero goals against PAOK.

Also had no idea he was on the bench twice for AEK Athens against us, he didn't get on the pitch in those games though.

Ajax, AZ and Olympiakos are CL/EL standard teams, if he can get goals against that standard of opposition for less dominant and creative sides then I'm sure he can score against Sevco. Although 3/4 of his goals against those teams came away from home, maybe more suited as an away day striker rather than home game.

 

Looks like he'll start. Have to admit ive not been impressed at all with him so far but he definitely possesses the ability to hold the ball up. Hopefully he can feed the ball to Jota and Abada to do some damage.
