Get juranovic and jota throwing balls in, he’ll score.

Should have had a couple more, but should give his confidence a timely boost..

He should have been trying to get a couple of goals given the level of opposition we were up against, but he seemed to think one goal was a decent nights work and stuck his invisibility cloak on not long after scoring.

He also doesn't seem to have much chemistry with Jota, Rogic, Abada etc. If we're relying on him vs Hearts then we're going to struggle.

Being fair to him the amount of times he got himself in good positions for a simple slip ball through that Rogic fluffed last night was ridiculous. Rogic’s use of the ball except slipping Maeda in was pretty hopeless, he had one of those games where it just wasn’t coming off for him.

On Giakoumakis he is third choice for a reason in that he isn’t as good as Kyogo and doesn’t look as good as Maeda but my biggest concern the now is he gets injured before we play them given his record so far this season.

I would much rather have a recognised striker for the Hearts and Rangers games than some make shift formation. I am sick of playing them like that. We are going to be missing some amount of key players but at the moment should still be able to actually play the shape we want.

I'd put Abada in the centre Juranovic RW and Ralston RB

He's not as bad as some make out, he's rusty and had hard luck woth injuries. He's definitely the type of player, given a run of games, who we will want on the end of crosses into the box.

I think he'll cone good, first real bit of actual game time in a while, took his goal well which I'd what he does, with the opposition and pitch you can't judge the team on that, next 3 games will be big for him

Hes the type of player needed in these * games where the pitch is tiny and the other wide doesnt want to play just defend. We might one day start scoring corners with him.

Giorgos Giakoumakis got the scoring underway in the 14th minute with Abada adding the second just before the break.

The manager said of the Greek striker: “Obviously he didn’t play much in the first half of the season so it was good for him to start and good for him to score.

“He’ll get better, there are still parts of his game that he will improve on because he hasn’t played for quite a while, but as a striker it’s good that he got his goal.”

This really is a big opportunity for him these next few games. Hopefully Jota and Forrest can get him some good service as the 2 goals he has scored for us were very good finishes from crosses so if we can get him enough supply hopefully he goes on a run of goals and really announces himself.

Celtic striker Giorgos Giakoumakis has accused Alloa of “crossing the line” in his club's 2-1 Scottish Cup victory on Saturday night at the Indrodrill Stadium.

The Greek forward netted in the success, which set up a home tie with Raith Rovers next month, that came at a heavy cost for Ange Postecoglou’s men. Captain Callum McGregor was lost to a facial injury that looks set to sideline him for several weeks, while Yosuke Ideguchi and Liel Abada were forced off with knocks.

Giakoumakis stressed that while there was no deliberate tactic to strong-arm Celtic by the League One side, they lacked restraint in seeking to offset the quality differential between the teams. Meanwhile, the 27-year-old refused to discuss whether referee Don Robertson failed to offer Celtic players sufficient protection on the plastic pitch in Clackmannanshire.

The game against Alloa was out of the limit, it was too dangerous – the duels, the markings,” said the £2.5million summer signing from Dutch club VVV-Venlo. “We had to get through it and take the win and, if it was possible, to stay away from harm. We didn’t achieve that part.

“I can say that the opponent didn’t have the quality that we do. It’s normal with all the respect. They had to try to run more than us and be more aggressive in the duels.

“Sometimes they crossed the line and the markings were a little bit more tough. We should take care of ourselves too. I don’t want to speak about the referees. I will never speak about the referees. It’s our job in the lines and in the end we’re really happy that we won and we’re in the next round.”

Giakoumakis did not seek to downplay the significance of being without McGregor for the foreseeable future. He did, though, express confidence in Celtic possessing the personnel to cope with a seemingly never-ending series of injury setbacks, Postecoglou having assembled a 31-strong senior pool that suddenly appears anything but excessive.

“First of all I have to wish him [McGregor] the best of luck for a speedy recovery,” the Greek added. “He’s a leader for us. Maybe it’s something serious. We’ll miss him a lot, he’s a key player for us and I hope he will return as soon as possible. [But], yes, of course we have the depth in our team and our squad. Everyone can be in the first XI. That’s very important at a club that has big goals.”

I'd start him against the diets and depending on his performance play either him or Abada up front against the huns.

Even though I’m not impressed with him, he has to start vs diets. We just need the * to hit form ASAP and he won’t do that by sitting on his *.

He's a good striker. He's taken both his goals very well. He just needs time and matches. He won't be 20 goals a season, but he's something different up front.

I sincerely hope you are right however, I am not convinced with him at all and would put him in the Ajeti bracket of strikers who have been a waste of money for our club
