I hate to say it even after about 2 starts but I do get the Miku, Scepovic, Pukki, Bayo etc vibe with him.

His record prior to last season really worried me.

Hopefully I'm wrong and he's the next Larsson.

Giakoumakis scored 30 for a relegated team….I’m not saying he’s the messiah but he’s definitely not under estimated “the pace and physicality” of our league.

There's no relation between those two things. He's been utter pish. He'd be behind Ajeti in the pecking order if his hamstrings weren't made of spaghetti.

    Eh?

He’s played about 2 or 3 games for us. He was very good against St Johnstone at home, scored the winner.

Missed a * of a penalty against Livingston.

    Guy needs a chance ffs…

He definitely wouldn't be behind Ajeti and hasn't been when both are available.

I think its natural that people are sceptical.
He does deserve a chance, but Strikers that don't hit the ground running here rarely turn it around.
    I can't think of any ?

He's had his chance. He was pish.

It wasn't just the penalty miss v Livingston. He was a man down. Completely useless.

Only seems to be fit for a couple of games then goes on the sick for months as well. He's just not cut out for Celtic.

Some folk need to get a grip, the guys barely had a chance. Thompson on sportscene putting him in the same category as Klimala and Ajeti was a joke as well. The guy has started three matches or something daft, if he’d scored that pen against Livi a whole load of folk would be telling us he is a massive miss etc etc

Give the lad a chance ffs

I think he's looked a bit overweight and nowhere near fit enough through missing out on a pre season and carrying an injury. I'll not judge him until he's fully fit and with a proper fitness program to see what he's all about.

The Dutch league is dross. Total 50/50 when players and managers leave that league. Some continue their form, but quite a lot end up complete flops elsewhere.

    Been like that for years.

Of course he needs a run of games, but I think many were sceptical before he even signed. One good season he’s had in his career and he’s hardly a kid.

Said it before but in his limited appearances I’ve seen nothing particularly impressive. A few people were going overboard with praise when he played a couple of lay offs and held it up once or twice. Needs to do a * of a lot more than that.

Hopefully he gets himself fit in the next few weeks and shows us something.

The guy didn’t have a preseason through being injured and was probably brought into first team footy too soon.Should give him a couple games in Colt team when he’s ready to get him up to speed.

pre-season kind of amazes me tbf.

2 weeks with a personal trainer is pre-season - get fit and get sharp and 1 to 1 ball work, if training finishes at 12.30 stay behind do extra work etc - many players take the easy route and prob go home and play the playstation.

no pre-season should not mean the season is a write of.

he seems like ajeti and doesnt fancy it, good players need dragged off the pitch - look at the wayne rooney, ronaldos, mc gregors of this world they want to play every minute, they will go through the pain threshold and play for the shirt - i dont see it with him and many others in the team recently - ntcham syndrome.

People writing him off already? * me...

That being said that penalty still haunts my dreams and its hand down one of the worst penalties I have ever seen.

It's a bit early to judge him after so few games.
