MLS is a move you should either make if you are young but stagnated like Morgan or 30s and want a last contract.

It's an opportunity to set yourself up in the states for life. If he chose to do so. A lot of people still like the idea of staying over there. Decent retirement once you've made some good cash

MLS is also a much stronger league than people give it credit for (a similar kind of ignorance that people down south have for Scottish football). It's full of excellent players and the standard is improving rapidly all the time.

At this point all I care about is getting the most money possible for him and it getting done.

Between him and his agent they have clearly thought they would get better interest and haven’t.

He did well for us second half of last season and start of this one (mainly) when called upon but wants to or at least wanted to go.

I'd most definitely go an play in MLS if ever given the chance if I was a footballer in Europe who was 28 and perhaps struggling to get interest even after two back to back goal scoring seasons.

Still young enough and earning more than enough to have a real good lifestyle over there.

We literally just signed our new right back from the MLS for £3m. Days of laughing at it are over. A lot of good players there.

Won't put the MLS league down at all. Hope he goes over there and smashes it. Probably sign a large 4 year contract worth £5m and be set for life. Good Luck to him.

You need to have a word with yourself mate if you don't think this kind of thing is a problem.

Essentialising characteristics based on someone's heritage is a very, very slippery slope and in no way stands up to criticism.

Where did you see this? I thought they were looking to get him on loan.

Urawa Red Diamons are reportedly offering 4M. It seems that we've accepted their offer, but GG is reluctant to sign for them. I highly doubt Atlanta is offering 6M.

They don’t want to buy him the now they want a loan without an obligation. They want a loan where he will be signed on an incentive based deal. They want a loan for the season march to October/November then buy him in winter 2024 window! If Celtic accept that then he must have really stunk the gaff out!

The first MLS transfer window of 2023, when players can be bought from other leagues, runs from January 31 to April 24.

There is an additional MLS transfer window that goes from July 5 to August 2.
