I highly, highly doubt that he will go to Japan no matter who reports on it. No chance :56:

If we move him on for a profit and have a replacement in this window that is ready to go now sounds like this is best for everyone.

I'd have preferred he stayed to the end of the season as he did make a difference last year but rather not have someone in a huff in the squad.

Do think he might get a better move in the summer if he can get his head straight and come to an agreement with the club. Not sounding that likely though.

    Kyogo. A phenomenon
Same as JJ unless some clause activated then given time left on contract and variety he brings to us up front it’s not a sale I’d be advocating for the suggested low amount

Sampdoria now reported to be in the hunt. Would make a lot more sense for the big man.

Could see him doing well in Germany, if bundesliga clubs are actually in for him.

Big, physical strikers seem to do well there.

Aye both deals seem like poor business for us, both peak age.

For better or worse, most Greek players prefer to end up in Germany or Italy.

But considering he's now 28 and with a young family, I suspect he will go with whatever is the best pay day. Would have to be quite a significant offer to move him to Japan when he can be a 2 hour flight from Crete if he's in Italy.

If we have release clauses on JJ and GG's contracts, which seems to be the case, thank * we got rid of McKay.

Yes, we've made decent profit but it should be so much more.

I'm gutted to lose GG. Finding a replacement will be a challenge. Johnston has already filled JJ's spot.

Probably rightly aggrieved in not starting more games for us..

100% agreed with this. Whilst I got a whole lot of love for Kyogo you cannot help but feel perhaps we have never seen the best of GG. When he had that run last season he seemed to be getting better and better.

We all saw the different type of threat the big man has when he came on as a sub on Saturday. We will always need that type of physical presence up front and I would prefer it if we routinely started some of our games with GG up front and bring on Kyogo when teams are beginning to tire.

Pretty sure if he was getting the 24k week he's supposedly asking for he wouldn't mind so much

I don't think this is as cut and dry as some people are trying to make out.
I wouldn't be surprised if he stays unti the summer at least.

Letting go of a top striker the middle of a very importantt season, with rumours of bringing in another untested striker who might take weeks to get up to speed, even as a sub, seems very risky to me.

Hopefully get closer to £6m for him. We'll see.

Another who I'm just keen to see out the door now, though I appreciate everything he gave us last year. Get players in who want to be here.

A pleasant "headache" for Giorgos Giakoumakis since, according to SDNA's exclusive information, at least five teams are fighting for his acquisition, with Sampdoria having recently entered the game of acquiring the Greek striker!
Giorgos Giakoumakis is counting down the new step of his career, since it is assumed that he will leave Celtic, even within the current week!

All that remains to be clarified is his concession status and the club where he will write the next chapter of his career as a footballer.

The top scorer of the Eredivisie in the 2020/21 season, weighs all the data available in order to make the best possible decision, while Blas Hosseini's new agent has long been on the job.

According to exclusive information from SDNA, Sampdoria, which is fighting to stay in Serie A, sees in the person of Giakoumakis the forward who will be able to provide solutions in scoring. The Greek international ace likes the coach of the team from Genoa, Dejan Stankovic, and developments are expected.

From there, the 28-year-old forward has in his hands a tempting offer from Japan, specifically from Urava Diamonds, while he has also been approached by a Russian team with great financial prosperity.

Celtic's forward options are not limited to Italy, Russia and Japan. For several weeks now he has received suffocating pressure from a club from the MLS,

Can’t see him being allowed to go without a replacement secured.

Not really it's the SPFL we could bring in an average striker and they'd probably do the job in this system. But the fact we have Maeda and Abada who can both play Striker we'll be just fine

Will be glad to see the back of Juranovic - over rated and stinking attitude since he decided he was too good for Celtic. Giakoumakis is a different story, if there is any way to keep this guy (within reason) we should be doing it. If the big Korean striker turns out to be better than Giakoumakis then Ange has played a blinder but he will have to be a * of a striker.
