Impossible. The clubs literally tag the players in things on Social Media. It can't be one rule for the club and another rule for the players. All you will get is players becoming more private, removing all their followers and only allowing access to a trusted few and fans don't want that.

 

Ah the ambiguous footballer social media post. Where would we be without them?

 

That's done through the official celtic page. If any player posts private info about them and thr club, I.e, transfers etc. Then it should be dealt with accordingly. Its the same in any business I've worked in. Seems footballers celebs etc think they can do what they want

 

I don't want him to leave, don't understand why he's getting such little time on the park.

I trust Ange knows what he's doing but I really hope the next one we bring in can offer the same return as GG if indeed he does move on.

 

Probably overreacting but we've seen this movie before, we know how it plays out. Player not happy about their situation, agent puts word out in the media, cue reduced game time and ambiguous instagram posts.

If it s the way it seems I hope we get rid sharpish. I've no doubt Ange has a striker lined up.

 

GG defo has a case for more game time but posting * like that on social media is a big no. Ange is building a culture that I reckon is above high school-tier gossipy * like that. Regrettably I'd rather see GG out the door if he's gonna stir the pot like that

 

I don't think the GG situation has been handled at all well by the management, especially when we still have a league to win, and we are not exactly blessed with strikers at the moment. It's fair to say Giakoumakis has not had a fair crack of the whip from Ange this season, with Kyogo being preferred again and again for the starting spot, despite his lapse in form this season.

Bringing GG on at the 82nd minute last night was a bit of a * take by Ange, and I would be raging too if I was him.
Like I have said before, if we hound him out the door for no real good reason, then I think we will regret it later on.

 

As long as we have a replacement lined up I wouldn’t be too disappointed about losing him. As someone said, he’s done a job for us but he’s certainly not irreplaceable.

I’ll try not to read too much into him posting a photo with an hourglass but if he wants to be starting every game and playing 90 minutes then he’ll need a new club.

 

Can see what you are saying but for me it comes down to either you let the manager pick the team or you don't

Can't see Ange standing for having his team dictated to him by anyone.

This now looks less like Giakoumakis looking for more game time and more like agitating for a move. A bit back I was saying we should talk this through with Giakoumakis and get him to stay to the summer but now if we get another striker he should probably go if the price is right for us.

I would have him ready to play against SEVCO, and hopefully he gets some goals and puts himself in the window for big move south. Those social media cryptic posts are childish tho.

Maybe he's been told he's starting at the weekend and it's a "nows my time" meaning.. its as vague as can be...
Sure Ange couldn't give a * what choice of emoji the players use on socials so long as they put a shift in at training.

Aye. If he wants to start games, he needs to show something when he comes on. His first touch has been awful. Missed a sitter as well.

As others have said, I wouldn’t be all that gutted if he goes. Would be confident in Ange getting someone better to replace him. He’s a decent player but nothing special.

 

I felt he tried, but was unlucky.

 

Couple of poor touches, but Abada had to pass to him but as was the case the whole time he was on made the wrong decision.

 

Was woeful, feels like his mind is elsewhere.

Shame too, as on form he's the perfect player for the next two games.

 

The big man has been great for us, and it's a shame the way things are panning out. His work rate and his physicality are excellent strengths to have in the team, but if I'm being a bit harsh, I'd say he's a limited football player, and in reality we could probably do with an upgrade.

If he's * about on social media and not wanting to be here then get him to *, shame as well I do like the big guy but there are plenty of guys who would be desperate to pull on the hoops.

 

Was fine today tbh.
