Sportime had reported again that Giorgos Giakoumakis wants to transfer to the Premier League . This time, by changing his agent, the Greek striker takes it one step further.

First of all (and completely coincidentally), he just turned 28 yesterday! He is only in his second year at Celtic and has already won the league, League Cup, playing in the groups of the Champions League . He feels that once the two-year cycle is over, he needs other performances, another championship air.

Let alone the Glasgow weather which is not in keeping with the family mood. Do not forget that he is paid almost 300 thousand net per year and "seeing" the -adas to yoke, he is looking for the life contract! And this year, Giakoumakis does not stop scoring , being the first violin in the attack of the Celts (24 matches/9 goals).

Giakoumakis has changed his agent and is preparing a transfer
Angelos Postecoglou has created a protection mechanism for him since last year and now Giorgos Giakoumakis is absolutely following his footsteps. Only the ambition for a bigger league/contract does not say to abandon him

The 28-year-old Cretan, after 6-7 years of cooperation with Emmanuelidis-Pathiakakis,signed a cooperation contract with BHM Sports Agency with CEO Blash Hosseini and the blessings of his teammate, Karl Starflett , now being equal. The company in question has been terribly involved in the last 3 years with Swedish players and deals abroad and collaborated with Celtic in the 5 million Starfelt deal from Rubin Kazan!

The "girl" and in his last meeting with the National Team last September had expressed his intention/willingness to travel to another footballing country since Celtic's victories are... routine and without similar local competition except for Rangers.

So is Giakoumakis leaving Celtic? The point is that the "Celts" have always been a tough nut to crack in negotiations and will hardly make discounts below 6-7 thousand for Giakoumakis. To be continued..

    • Giakoumakis has a contract with Celtic until 2026 with an average salary of 3 net.

    • The 28-year-old striker in his 1.5 years in Glasgow has scored 25 times in 50 games.

If he's pushing for the move we need to sell. Love GG but he's not irreplaceable and if he is only on £6k a week no wonder he's looking for a move, he's worth more than that.

If he's on 6k a week and is 28 I can understand him wanting a big bumper contract. The billy bigbaws attitude that he's too good for Scotland can gtf though

I doubt celtic would have offered a pittance and get if he thinks he can triple his salary elsewhere.

But what I do not appreciate is any spitting the dummy attitude and trying to force moves.

Knowing ange he will have a ready made replacement coming in before he gets any move away.

Would be hugely disappointed in him if he chooses to force through a move. Not the kind of personality Ange will want in the dressing room. Hopefully bullshit.

Don't know how accurate but 12K according to this site
    https://salarysport.com/football/scottish-premiership/celtic/

Greg Taylor only on £8,200 a week while his understudy Bernabei is on £17K is the real scandal and I like Siegrist but 15k, really? and Mooy being out 3rd highest earner is outrageous so I hope the site isn't entirley accurate. How he managed to bag a £23K contract * knows.

He didn't like or share Celtics birthday message yesterday but did like and share his national team and former club Venlos birthday message.

If we can get £7m for him, punt. Cho will cost far less than that. Love the big man but we do not need an unhappy dressing room right now. The final half of the season is huge for us.

He's spat his dummy out for some reason. Get rid before he tries to sour the dressing room.

Can tell something is off. Time to get rid before he brings the dressing room down.

If he is showing any negativity about being at the club Ange will boot him right our the door. I fully get that players want to maximise their earning to secure a solid future for their kids, especially when he has been at clubs where he will be on lower wages but there is no need to act the *, if he indeed is.

Hes wanting a big contract. He's 28. Far from set for life. His new agent will have him convinced to do all this now as he's at the age where he goes now or never will. Just let him go imo.

I lile him but he will be much easier to replace and improve on than JJ so it's a no brainer to sell him if he is unhappy in my book.

I can understand where frustration may have set in with him allegedly being one of our lower earners and him being benched for Kyogo even for friendlies. Strikers are notorious for having big egos and fans thinking GG would be satisfied with that l fear were kidding themselves. All the best to him if he does go, will be no hard feelings for me.

Can see a relegation battling EPL side coming in for him, one who's struggling for goals.

To be honest I could see him doing really well in a side like that.
