That would I agree be the idea scenario to go with. Just hoping Giako makes it although you have to say it looks doubtful.

Either way the huns wouldn't be able to deal with any combo of Giakoumakis or Kyogo.

Either kyogo starts and they chase shadows not knowing their * from their elbow...Giakoumakis comes on later to then just run through them and bully some tired legs.

    Or

Giakoumakis starts, wears down the defence, gets them hurting and then kyogo comes on with a burst of pace and movement they'd be too gassed to run with.

Both of them seem like the perfect options to have against their defence because of their strengths. It's * amazing

If he doesn't make it ange will play maeda through the middle with jota and abada as the wingers and later bring kyogo on for abada and move maeda wide

What fresh blasphemy is this? King Henke squeezed them in from ALL angles... left foot, right foot, napper... didn't matter!

But yes, GG took his goal very well!

There does seem to be a slight ripple of disapproval within the forum at my compliment on GG's goal, for some reason @scootz.

Haven't quite worked out why yet :fear:

I really hope he's fit enough for Sunday.

Maeda through the middle is a step down and I rate Maeda.

Think we'd go Abada through the middle, with Maeda and Jota out on the wings.

Maeda went through the middle at the weekend when Abada came on.

    Why not Kyogo tho?

Guess it depends on whether or not he's ready to start, pretty big game to throw him into.

    I'd start him personally.

I don't think Kyogo is ready but if it's a toss up of a half fit Kyogo or a fully fit Maeda through the middle, I'd choose Kyogo all day long. I'm unsure Ange would. I think he'd have Ange on the bench if that's the case.

    I love this big fella.

I thought he was a complete misfit at the start, his nonchalant penalty miss did not help one bit.

Turns out he’s everything that we’ve been missing for a long time. He reminds me of Vennegoor of Hesselink with a better work rate, but he’s got a lot of attributes to improve on to be at the level of the big Dutch fella. With Ange he will only get better.

The thing I love about him which might be controversial, is his absolute shithousery.

He wins fouls out of nothing when we’ve got no one but him within a 20 yard radius.

Wastes time when necessary, holds it up constantly, and lays it on thick when fouled.

All the * we’ve moaned about for years but if we’re honest that’s the game now. We need to adapt to the way it’s played especially with VAR.

I’ve watched the Ibrox game back three times now as it hilarious, but I can’t help but admire this guy up front.

The amount of times they could have kept the pressure up, got their crowd up, but he’s just backing in to some *, going down if he’s even remotely upended.

Honesty gets you nowhere, especially at Ibrox.

Minutes killed. Crowd raging. Everycunt getting a breather. Love to see it.

    He’s class.

Completely agree. I think the only thing missing from his game against them was goals. Everything else was perfect.

He is genuinely everything that has been missing from our strikers in a long time. The ability to get under the opposition's skin and ruffle their feathers is understated.

He is very similar to Morelos in that regard. I don't rate Morelos' footballing ability, GG is definitely the better footballer. The thing going for Morelos is his holdup play and bringing others into the game. GG showed he could do that though in the last derby. GG is also calm, which allows him to play the villain brilliantly. He's more likely to get the opposition in trouble than get a card himself.

I'll love for Ange to sub himself on in the final game of the season. The roof would come off.

Can you give us a fitness update on the squad? We saw Giorgos Giakoumakis having to come off in the first half on Saturday...

Nothing concrete yet. Again, we're still waiting on the final scans on it. Hopefully it's not too bad. He feels like it's not too bad. But until we get the information we won't know. Similar with David Turnbull, he obviously got a pretty hard knock. It's only a couple of days after so we'll see how it all settles down. With both, I'm hoping it's not too lengthy an absence.
