His movement was so good as well. I watched the highlights again and he just drags every defender everywhere. I loved he was screaming at CCV for a layoff and then the wild celebration when CCV finished it.

    I * love him.

You wonder if in hindsight his service yesterday could have been better if there was a balance to the team with Abada down the right and either of Maeda or Jota down the left.

End of the day though we won and Ange got his plan down perfectly.

Giakoumakis was a big part of that absorbing those heavy handed tackles and returning the favour himself and winding they * up no end.

Have to disagree about nothing noteworthy in an attacking sense. He may not have had many chances but playing up front on your own is no easy task, his movement dragging their CBs out creating space for Maeda to run into was top attacking play. He took some physical abuse and had their CBs panicking. He came back into midfield winning the ball back more than he gave away.

Ralston and him would combine well.

A team with Ralston at right-back and Jota on the left would get plenty of crosses into him as they're our two best crossers of the ball and would give us balance from both wings. Juranovic and Taylor don't put many crosses in or sometimes any and Maeda although he has provided Giakoumakis a couple of goals he doesn't cross too much either neither does Abada.

I’m totally eating my words/doubts about GG. I never in this world thought he’d be covering the distances he is, especially for such a big unit.

I don’t know if he was doing that on this level at his previous clubs, but I bet he wasn’t. Watching him, it’s as if he’s watched and learnt from Kyogo and Maeda, what it is and what it takes to be a hard working CF. Nothing but praise for the big unit.

specifically with his use of the ball. other than his header at goal, and as another poster highlighted his through ball to Abada, i think thats the only real thing he did with the ball.

But i fully agree he worked hard and put himself about and he offered a lot to us defensively in the second half.

Thought he was brilliant, dragged defenders all over, took the ball in and dished out a bit of aggression.

    love him.

Not to forget his sublime clearance when Rangers whipped one in near the end. Everyone assumed it would have been a defender who got to it. Even a Rangers TV commentator praised it

Yeah that was an underrated ball and not something we've seen a whole of from him.

Hopefully can do that more often. Think sometimes he needs to know when to lift his head and pick a pass.

Always good to have a big striker for the rough and tumble games. Along with wee Kyogo getting back to full fitness we now have a flexibility up top that we’ve not had since big moussa was here

    Forgot about that one.

Unusual to see our players making those types of tackles but was brilliant to see.

Hard fouls but nothing too dangerous or wild that they’ll get sent off for.

That last ditch clearance from one of their crosses that looked like it was gonna cause trouble was unreal.

Nae idea what he was still doing back there but what a clearance it was.

Great attitude, work ethic and a real team player, type of teammate you love to have.

    * love GG. Ange has assembled some team and it really shines through that he doesn't just sign people for their ability, they have to fit a certain personality. So much heart in these players.

Put in a proper shift, sacrificed himself for the team unit as a whole.

Digging out a cross on his own 6 yard line as the lone striker a shining example of that, if he wasn’t there the baws on a plate for that wee baldy hun striker.

Since he's shaken of the injuries and got fully fit he's been immense for us. Filled a truly massive hole left by Kyogo getting injured that could've sunk our campaign otherwise. He's just such a useful player for causing disruption all over the opposition half, let alone showing he can drop back and assist too... Kudos to him for not letting the injuries and fan/media pressure get to him...
