Saw that announcement. Unlucky lads, they're incredible live. Seen them four times and each time it's brilliant.

During the lockdowns I promised myself I would make an effort to get to as many live gigs as possible, been to 4 so far this year - Gang of Youths, The War on Drugs, David Gray and Gerry Cinnamon. Also nabbed a Bruce Springsteen ticket for next summer and will try get to a few more before the end of this year.

Two huge gigs cancelled within day is really unlucky.

Are either band claiming CV19 or just illness?

Just illness AFAIK. Apparently Axl struggled quite a bit at Tottenham, had to chop the set list and sing in lower octave, so the signs were there. * gutter all the same.

Last gig I was at was Spiritualized in SWG3 a few months ago. It was * majestic. Other than that I rarely go to see bands these days. Used to go quite a bit but after playing so many myself over the last 8 year or so, I canny be * lol.

Best gig I ever went to was The Strokes in the barras around 2002-ish. It was * outrageous, and am not even a huge fan tbh. Some cracking tunes but a lot of meh aswell. But that was a special show that night.

Also seen Ride at the barras when they reformed, and BRMC (barras), both phenomenal. OCS around '99, also barras. Am sure there's a pattern in there somewhere :giggle1:

I’ve seen OCS at the Barras an embarrassing amount of times. They done 5 nights in a row there rather than two nights at the SECC at the height of their fame. I went all 5 nights :giggle1:

That’s the only 5 I’m admitting to. Never mind Stirling Castle and Ingliston amongst others.

The war on drugs are superb. It was some show they put on at the Corn Exchange.

David Gray is always superb. I'm still expecting a Scottish date for Bruce.
