I noticed today that Dundee has a music festival too.

    https://www.carnivalfiftysix.co.uk/day-splits/

A few bands I would like to see, but not enough overall. If Glasgow is struggling to sell tickets for Trnsmt, I'm not sure how well Dundee will do for that line-up.

The no camping puts a lot of people off. It will end up quite expensive to add hotel accommodation on top of spending hundreds on tickets.

Bought Ed Sheeran tickets for my daughter. I had forgotten about the sale and was glad to see he added Saturday night.

    * me though. 2 nights at Hampden at £75+ fees =£82.50 each. I really grudge that kind of money for such a gig.

I've managed to get Kendal Calling tickets now.

The only issue is the person was selling 3 and I had to buy them all. I'll now have to punt a full weekend plus Thursday ticket.

No lack or demand for them though. They sell in seconds.

I managed to get tickets for The Killers this morning.

Disgusting that do many have instantly ended up of ticket resale sites for a minimum of double the face value.

It's getting mad. Concert tickets are already costly.

What a weekend we had in Dublin (again)....The Dickies were superb and I don't think I'll ever get this close to a live band again...* it was hot and wild .
When we came out we were soaking...underground punk rock at its very best...here's a video I shot...
It'll not be everyone's cup of tea...but hey ..I love the Dickies man...seen them in Edinburgh on Sunday evening too..they were in Glasgow on Monday too...

I don't mind Artists upping there ticket prices. It goes hand in hand with the digital age of cheaper music and illegal downloads.

However Ticketmaster disgust me. They allow salpers to buy all the best tickets within seconds of them going on "pre-sale". Then allow said scalpers to sell tickets on GetMeIn (owned by ticketmaster) and presumably make commission thus profiting from the scalping practice themselves.

I popped along to Party the Palace last weekend in Linlithgow. It was a good little family friendly festival. There was lots of oldies and kids. Deckchairs were everywhere which was annoying.

The main bands on the Saturday were the Noisettes(that woman can sing), Ash, The Lightning Seeds and The Kaiser Chiefs.

I picked the tickets up from Gumtree for £30 each. They were £55 face value which still isn't too bad. It wasn't the best organised, but nothing too far wrong.
