Hi guys, new to the site.
Dont know if there is a thread already...if there is im sorry!
Needing a little bit of help to get to celtic park, not traveled by train in years. Usually get a car but got a few friends coming so need to get a train in.
Im from fife, been told to get a train from haymarket to glasgow central then get a train from glasgow central to bridgeton then its a 5 minute walk from there to celtic park? Is this information correct or is there a better route to take to get to celtic park.

yeah thats right mate, bridgeton can be dodgy but 9 times out of 10 it will be fine or u can go haymarket to queen st and then low level to bellgrove which is safer but 10 mins longer to walk to the stadium

Bellgrove is closed I think for this match. Bridgeton is always fine. I go that way every match and never even seen any trouble.

If it's not raining or too windy just walk up. You'll be at the Gallowgate in less than 10 mins, a few pints then on up to the game.

When you're at Bridgeton station,walk out the exit and turn right and you can see the stadium from there,the station is fine on match days,there's always plenty of tims using the trains and you walk past the police station on London Rd anyway so there's plenty of them around.It's not really dodgy at all from my experience,but I've never been around the pubs or shops there and wouldn't ever go near them,common sense really.

Helensburgh trains will terminate at Partick on 2nd Jan. Just switch at Partick onto the Motherwell / Lanark line and get off at Bridgeton. Return journey the same but in reverse.

Thats exactly how it is Kenny and as Ive always said on this topic the amount of Polis hanging around on the Cross is enough to keep the mutants in their drinking dens, all that said why anyone would want to do a left out of the sation is anyones guess....irrespective of the hun connection its full of 12 year old neds hanging about outside every kebab shop, offy etc, I think I read a few months ago that Brigdeton has the highest unemployment rate in the whole of the UK, about 90% of all residents there are drawing some sort of benefit!

I've walked from bridgeton to every game I've been at for other 13 odd years and never seen any trouble the odd time for night time games see the polis outside the boozers ,but if u turn left when u come out the station I feel ur looking for sumthing tbh.

Need some advice please. Need to get to Fauldhouse after the Hearts Game on 19/01. Seems to be many different options but looking at it I'm just as we'll getting a taxi from stadium to cambaslang (sorry bad spelling) - will that be costly and are taxis easy to come by? Any other routes or alternatives much appreciated.

It'd be much quicker and cheaper to walk to Bridgeton Station and get the train to Fauldhouse.

How safe is it to park the car at the Forge shopping centre for attending home games on a Saturday ? Or is there any recomendations fo parking the car elsewhere ?
