    It wasnt unlucky, an own goal can indeed be unlucky like a deflection , but when you watch it again you will see where he was positioned he should easily have managed to clear for a corner but somehow manages a lovely
    finnish in the OPPOSITE corner of th net. 3rd own goal in europe and counting. unlucky?

    Yes it is unlucky in my own opinion. Like I said, if he had let that ball go by him then we would have every right to slaughter him.

    The person at fault is whoever let the Arsenal player play the ball across the 6 yard line in the first place.

    he had a bad game but that doesnt mean he's a bad player.

    being a centre back means if you have a bad game you'll get found out, nay where to hide. his decision making is a bit gash, but he's improved and he's improving, anybody who cany see that is biased.

    Lescott had a stinker against them and he's going for 22m. it happens

    Caldwell has improved from total liability to having a good season last season but is no way worth some of the praise heaped upon him, equally not worth some of the vitriol aimed at him

    an average player who will always be found out in greater company and that would apply to most of our team.

    i do oblject to him constantly being the rent a quote from the park and i would prefer it if he kept quiet and got on with his job

    we lost goals we shouldnt have tonight but we must recognise the quality of Arsenal against our guys. look at the first half on Saturday to gauge how we will do domestically this season. Caldwell will be part of that success. He is no superstar but is better than club captain McManus and until we have the funds to purchase better quality then lets just hope he listens and learns from the new gaffer

    I hate the wat just before big games, he comes out with these big interviews about what celtic and him are going to do to the opposition!!!

    Remember before Barcelona in Last 16 he said he was saying he'd have Henry in his back pocket, then his * pass gave it to Henry then he got skinned for said goal!

    Away to Benfica he did the pre match interviews in the papers, and what another own goal then an assist of his face, whata *!!

    He does these interviews before ALL the big games!

    V Dynamo at Moscow, it was he who was as much fault
    as Hinkel becasue althoug Hinkel got skinned at byline, Caldwell's man beat him at the near post!

    And last night, albeit Fabregas went down as if he was shot, Caldwell still made the stupid and * tackle for the foul, and then the OG. 10 mins before that it was near the exact same at opposite end only Gallas had the classness about him to put it out for a corner, btu Caldwell puts it in his own net!!!

    get rid of this overrated fool and pathetic excuse of a player!!!

    i wouldnt rid him but id * drop him for sure bring in odea caldwell needs to get his priorities right he is always played centre back and for some reason he is caught out at the right and in the midfeild some * needs to tell this guy he aint a right back and he * definently aint a fukin defensive midfeilder if he kept his mind on his own position he wouldnt be in any trouble
