    I've liked them since I was a kid when my neighbour gave me their home shirt.

    I believe they had a connection/ "fan friendship" with Celtic at some point, but I don't think that's really in existence anymore.

    That's a good point actually. With regards to the defence, they played much better on Saturday. A few shaky moments early on but they sorted it out.

    It's hard to believe that Hummels and Subotic are still only 23.

    We played them in the UEFA Cup in the late 1980's I think the fans got along very well so similar to the Villareal situation more recently there was a mutual favouring of each others teams from that tie.

    They had a rather slow start, but with a win tonight, they could become second ot third depending on goal difference.

    By the way Germany is the only country without a team from the capital in the top league :rolleyes:

    Noticed that the other day. Surprising, to the say the least. There's no teams from the east of the country in Germany's top flight either. Striking when you see the Bundesliga teams marked on a map.

    There is no Irish connection. The shamrock is simply in the coat of arms of the city of Fürth, and when two former clubs merged they adopted it as their logo.

    Dortmund are my German team as well.

    Similar, when I was younger I had a Dortmund top and that's how it started:smiley-laughing002: Plus, they have cracking fans and stadium:50:

    Dropped more points today.

    Didn't deserve to win based on the 2nd half performance, but Pisczek his the post and Lewandowski was denied a stonewall penalty. Referee was terrible.

    Dortmund down 2-0 at home to Schalke 04, just into the 2nd half. Looks like more points being dropped. Bayern winning as well.

    Should be 3, guy just blasted over a tap in. 2nd goal was a shambles to lose at professional level.
