    Alonso allows Gerrard to be what he is.

    If you think about it,Gerrard was pretty good but when Alonso came,he made him so much better.La,pard wasn't bad either but when Makalele turned up he suddenly became a whole new player.Centre-Mid is a bit like Larsson Sutton,sure Larsson was great,but Sutton made him better.

    If i was to have one player in my team out of these two it would be Alonso

    oh , am i not aloud to critisize ?? i respect opinions ...but not when i here daftness like who is better , alonso or gerrard ....

    its fukn evident is it not , daft really , alonso is the support cast and gerrard is the real deal

    well i can see where your coming from but i think when alonso came gerrards technique improved and surely this was to do with the fact he was learning from alonso dont u think?

    Alonso dominates a midfield much more than Gerrard,you only need to look at the England team to see this.

    I just feel if i had to choose anyone to walk into my Celtic team right now it would be Alonso.First dominate then strike.

    again you call ppo daft coz there opinion some ppo think alonso is more skillful but gerard bring more to the team as he get forward and his leadership so it isnae daft hinkin alonso is better there is still no need to pick on ppo who have a different opinion to you it not as if they were takin the * out of you rt

    Both top quality players but I just think that Gerrard edges it as he imposes himself on games that bit more on both sides of the ball.

    Alonso IMO as hes a wonderful tackler, can make wonderful passes, great shots, good reading of the game, will always be reliable.

    Gerrard will dissapear for a lot of the game but when he does play he is a wonderful palyer
