It's been said well before today's game and before his Jan heroics. he just doesn't cut the mustard. a striker gets judged on his goal count. he doesn't score. time for someone else.

him and Majstorovic are top of my leaving list.

Im not talking whatsoever about his Jan heroics, im talking about todays game. Where he was one of our best players for the second game running. Its not all about scoring goals at all. Stokes didnt score today, time to leave!

I have said all the same things before about get him out he has had to many chances but at the end of the day as long as he is a celtic player I will give him the chance. but when he plays well he deserves to get credit we can't just blame him for everything

same ole * scattergun approach or slam the same few players. Thought today was a decent spectacle the result not withstanding and i think it coulda gone either way and as for sammy he played well today as did brown and kayal and el kadouri i thought played well and id have kept him on and took off mulgrew

    No offence but that's *.

Hooper was a lot lazier than Sammy today.

I'm not a fan of Sammy but he wasn't the reason we lost today, sloppy defending has cost us yet again.

I have to agree with you.

It was said before the game that Rangers would be happy he was playing instead of Stokes, I'm sure Neil McCann said that and then it was also said after by Charlie Nicholas, that the Celtic attack should not have to rely on Samaras and whether he will turn up or not and unfortunately today he didn't.

Is it not more detrimental to player attitudes when they are getting dropped? I mean how must stokes/ledley for eg feel today?! For me they lads have surely done enough to cement a shirt ahead of the likes of mulgrew in mid and sammy upfront. Stokes deserves to play against them. Is this all because samaras had 1 blinding game last season v them?! I am not for 1 minute saying lenny shud do tbis and that, but why fix something that aint broken!

We're not judging him solely by today, as was stated in th OP.

Why are you talking about Stoles? he scores goels. far more than Samaras does. that is why it's time to leave. there is no space at CFC for a striker whi can't put the ball in the back of the net.

I can forgive him as he scored a goal. in general, Samaras is a lazy *. agaun, that isn't baaed solely on today and i'm not blaming him for the defeat. Hooper scores far more goals and proves his worth in that regards. Samaras does not.

a think stokes was kept on the bench due to just over coming an injury and they wouldn't want him to get a knock and be out for any length of time

If Samaras started pretty much every game a season he would no doubt have more goals, as Hooper does.

I'm not making hima scapegaotfor the whole team but as a striker he is sub sub par, never scores, too clumsy, never seems to make a pass on time and constantly turns away from goal when on a run with the ball.

If samaras started nearly every game we would be heading for third place, this guy isn't even decent enough to be a fringe player.

Would he? He only showed athreat to do so during his first quartre of his stay here.

I don't think he'd get anywhere near Stokes or Hoopers goal count.

Well we cant predict the future, but when he first joined us and got a good run in the first team, he played brilliant and got a good amount of goals :50:

Getting in the road of a shot, whilst being 5 yards offside, summed him up today.

Can't think for the life of me what he has done to merit being trusted in these big games ahead of players on form. Its not like he destroys these teams when he plays against them, he either plays so-so or is just utter *, apart from 1 game against the huns last year.
I know he's a Celtic player and we should get behind him, but there is only so many chances one guy can get, and surely he's long since used them all. And I also don't understand why so many people go to great lengths to vigorously defend this waste of a good wage...and jersey.
