    On a serious note, we could certainly do a lot worse than bring him back on a new deal. If the manager is looking to implement an attacking style of play Sammy would be an ideal squad member to have.

    I'll always love Sammy but it'd be silly to bring him back. He does still have a lot to offer in a good league, but not to offer us. Our style of play is changing and we need players who will keep the ball moving and who themselves are constantly moving to create space for others. That's not Sammy, and his moments of genius (which he does have) don't make up for that.

    Of course he would be an awesome weapon to have on the bench for Europe, but he still has too much to offer to sit on our bench, he deserves better than that.

    I wish him well at Olympiakos or wherever he goes.

    In all honesty though. If Sammy always played as good as he can at times he wouldn't have been playing for us to start with.

    I'm worried about our European campaign without him because his goal and assist record in the qualifying rounds was sensational and I think we'll be hard pushed to replace his contribution.
