I really shouldn't let that annoy me, but it does. And people down here wonder why I wasn't the slightest bit sad to see England go out.

 

I wouldnt feel guilty or sad about that Pukki. The rest of the world were loving it too. Still had the conceited attitude to say "WE COULD HAVE HAD GREECE TOO"...It never ends !!

 

"Man City Legend"?? Sammy was with them for from 2006-2008. Never realised that you only had to be at a club like Man Shity for a mere two years before being declared a "legend".

And people wonder why everyone outside England hates the English press when it comes up with * like this and hope that the England football team fail every time they are in a competition. This is probably the same buffoon that tweeted "Bye Bye Celtic" a couple of years ago.

Greece scored two goals and Sammy did 2 assist and 1 goal thats very nice.

A nice moment after the match: as everyone in Greek team was celebrating, Sammy went to the goalkeeper of Iv. Coast who was almost crying to comfort him. That's why Sammy is a class player, that's why he has a big Greek heart. Although the goalkeeper was trying to divvert Sammy's attention just before the penalty kick, Sammy showed that he's on a higher level than that and didn't go to laugh at him back at the end of the match. A true legend.

 

This match was Holebas' best match in national Greek team by far. The reason is quite simple, Lazaros was in the lineup who can run much more than Katsouranis and gave Holebas some help many times during the match, especially on the back so no need for Holebas to return in the defence all the time like vs Japan. I've already said it, we have good players, but their performance depends on the position that they have on the field and whom have next to them. Samaris, Lazaros, Holebas, Manolas, Papastathopoulos, were awesome last night.
