in the sense that he was on the pitch, aye

 

Was a bad game for him and served a reminder of those shockers he had for us

 

It wasn't his best game but you'd have said the exact opposite if he played well

 

In the sense he put in a challenge like a old * woman and let the player get the ball across goal.
very poor effort from sammy and after this game,the biggest game for him for a long time it shows celtic/lennon/the board/pl (take you're pick) was right to let the guy go.

Greece were bad tonight and so was Sammi . I always appreciated Sammi but he can be so frustrating and tonight he was at his most frustrating worse . I think he expected a high ball to come in from the corner and when it came in low he couldn't be arsed .

 

Sammy did what he does best..half arsed effort then throws his arms in the air looking for a foul.
But this time it cost them a goal....and i am a fan and like the guy but this game showed the sammy we got for 8 out of 10 games.

 

I thought he was the best player for Greece today.

 

There was very little difference in any of their players. I thought one was as bad as the other . Sammi certainly showed touches but , you wouldn't think today's match was important as he was at his most annoying way , of showing no interest at times .

 

Greece were poor. I really wanted the guy to well, but I ended up cringing half the time he got the ball. He just seems so unaware of his surroundings lol, like a headless chicken.

 

The guy who flicked it on made the run right on his blind side, if he had been standing with the guy and watched as he got in front of him then fair enough plus the guy originally marking him just let him go. Anyway I think we all know that Sammy isn't exactly the best defender, so to criticise him for that is a bit harsh considering going forward he was their best player. What more do you want, he had an excellent pull back where the guy should have scored and he had some excellent runs when he worried the Colombian back line. Personally I wouldn't have Sammy anywhere near the defence at set pieces, he should be outside the box so when the ball's cleared he can't pick it up and gallop at them on the counter.

 

Apart from when he got his head up and laid it on a plate for his teammate. So unaware right enough.

 

Which is the most annoying thing about him. Half the time he reqlly doesn't know what he's going to do with the ball and henis genuinely talented. Frustrating as *.
