I don't think comparing him to anyone else in a Celtic top will get you anywhere, as the whole team was awful. Yes Hooper was atrocious but Samaras was no different to usual - ruining attack after attack. He is completely indefensible, a hopeless excuse for a football player.

I thought Sammy was one of the better players last night. Him and Cha. That's not saying much though. I do like Sammy. But I have lost patience with him. Waste of a position playing Sammy HOPING he'll do one of his better 1 in 20 game brilliant performances.

 

I don't know what you mean. He's not a good player, he's a terrible player with the worst mentality you could possibly wish for. Ever notice how Sammy is always holding his head with that forlorn, 'condemned man' look after every failure. He has victim stamped on his forehead. A striker who cannot link up play with his team mates and has barely scored in months. He's absolutely dreadful. I really dread watching Celtic when his name is on the team-sheet and 9 times out of 10, I am right to do so.

You should support our players over and over. Especially when they play well.

 

Needless to say, I do support the players. That doesn't mean I can't spot a horrendous player dragging our team down game after game. I don't see anything virtuous about endlessly praising players who clearly aren't good enough. If they are as bad as Sammy is, I feel it needs to be pointed out. My loyalty is to Celtic, not Samaras.

He was our best player last night. He was the only player that looked like he cared.
