Today's game was the Sammy of old.

    Not good.

Hopefully he'll bounce back with a brilliant one on Tuesday. He probably will, too.

  2. I think it's evident that Sammy gives 100% in every game. Away games in the SPL rarely suit Sammy as he is at his best running with the ball into space. Hibs sat back today and there was no space for him to run into.

He scored a hatrick against Killie just a few weeks ago in the SPL.

He's not an out and out goalscorer but he always gives 100%.

He was ineffective on Saturday. Very rarely got past his man, and probably should have scored first half when he shot straight at the keeper. I was surprised he got the full 90mins if truth be told.

"I am fully committed to Celtic," Samaras said. "I feel important and well within myself, with the club and the city and the fans. I am almost 13 years away from my home country and, trust me, it is not easy to be away from family and friends for so long.
"But even in the tough periods, I feel Celtic Park and the club is my home. Both of the sides want me to stay and, in the end, there will be a solution.
"My opinion is if you play in the [English] Premier League at a club finishing 11th or 12th the only thing you will remember when you retire is the money. I don't care about money, that's for sure."

Wish most players would have this attitude when it comes to Celtic :notworthy:

Love it when you hear a player coming with away with great statements like that, it just shows there is still some players out there that play football for the love of the game.

    Always liked Sammy. :50:

He's said that a couple of times now. Obviously trying to make a point.

I didn't think I could love Sammy even more than I did, but I do now. What a legend. He's a very rare breed these days, a footballer that's loyal!
