    I'd have fancied us to score again in the Nou Camp if he'd stayed on. He is so valuable in his abillity to carry the ball up the park.

    It was fitting that he was captain. Nobody embodies the turnaround from the Mowbray era to beating Barcelona in the CL like he does.

    Clearly wasn't fit, was very frustrating from him. Barcelona were very cleerly handling his aerial presence, good shift though. Put your ankle on ice big man, there's bigger games for you yet :50:

    Thought it was one of his poorer games tonight if I'm being honest, he wasn't fully fit though, still worked his socks off. They dealt with him well aerially and we had so little of the ball that it was always going to be hard for him to make an impact

    It was obvious he wasn't match fit, but he didn't do a whole lot wrong. Came off at the right time, honoured the armband.

    Happily have him sitting on his * until Benfica. Needs to be wrapped in cotton wool for Champions League games.

    Feel sorry for him, struggling with injuries this season.

    The turnaround this guy has had is sensational. He was awful, to be fair, when played as a striker under Strachan. Lennon chose to play him predominantly as a left winger and he's had a huge turn around. Massive player for us in Europe now. Had a stromer of a game in the Nou Camp, was brilliant in Moscow and got full marks along with everyone else on Wednesday.

    Does anyone have any videos of Samaras' turn of pace when he knocks the ball by someone and beats them with ease using his pace down the line? He does it so often but can't find any videos of it. Cheers :50:

    Didn't think he had a great game on Wednesday - but I account that on his injury.

    Definitely a great turnaround from Samaras - no doubt.

    Still think he gets a bit too sensationalized by some on here though.
