Might make it back for the away trip to Moscow but I doubt it.

This is disgusting, he was perhaps in his best form yet for Celtic.

He's struggled in the past w/ consistency, so here's hoping he can pick up in 4 weeks where he left off.

    Absolutely.

When was the last time we seen Commons on the left hand side?

    Terrible news.

I suppose this is exactly why more attacking options like Lassad and Miku were brought to the club- let's just hope they're up to it.

Hopefully he continues to play like nothing happened when he returns.

Just hope he's ok when he comes back, Sammy's had great momentum for the last year or so, being out better not knock his confidence.

Massive loss for europe, always seems to show his worth in our biggest games against better sides.

I agree to an extent with yourself and Kris Bhoy 1916 but I like the thought of Izzy bombing up and down that wing again with the security of Ledley dropping off to protect the left back position.

I would prefer to see Commons just roaming about in a forward midfield position as he does a lot of damage ,Sammi will be missed but its not as bad as Celtic have good back-up.

But not a player like him.

Granted, I'll wait until I see Lassad and Miku though.

Maybe I'm being too optimistic but with Sammy out for a month maybe Benfica will let their guards down a wee bit in the defence. Everyone in europe seems to see him as their biggest threat but we have other options that could exploit their defence. Hopefully Sammy is 100% when he comes back but I know that is a lot to ask of any player when he comes back. He should be able to do some limited training and exercise while he is out or am I wrong about thaT?
