    Lustig hurt his ankle, was taken off after 20 minutes, but supposedly only as a precaution and he'll be able to play in Sweden's next game with a strapped ankle from what I read, which if true is something Celtic should look into.

    I don't really mind our players playing internationals, and things can happen. But if you follow Sammy's agent on Twitter, he made it clear that Sammy wasn't fit to play tonight in the first place. I'm devastated.

    Taken off a Greek Football website.

    'Greece forward Giorgos Samaras has been labelled as doubtful for Greece’s 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Lithuania on Tuesday after suffering an injury to his left elbow during Friday night’s 2-1 win over Latvia.

    Samaras suffered the injury when he took a nasty fall on the damp pitch. Early reports from the Greece camp indicate that Samaras suffered an elbow dislocation, but the Celtic striker is expected to undergo a detailed medical in Athens on Saturday.

    Samaras was initially labelled as doubtful for Friday’s match, but was a half-time substitute in Greece’s victory on a rainy night at the Stadions Skonto. Samaras replaced Kostas Mitroglou at the start of the second half, the Celtic forward putting in a good 23 minutes before being replaced by Sotiris Ninis.'

    Looks like we will know more tomorrow then.

    if he had a back problem before he left for international duty, why was he even on the bench never mind on the park. ?
    and why did Celtic allow him to travel in the 1st place ?

    it's all right saying that players want to play for there country, but the club doctors must have a major say if a player is fit to play. :47:
