What good's a lot of work when at the end he doesn't score goals. Lots of running about doesn't win a game goals do. I wonder who Sammy will score his annual league goal against this season?

He's not an out and out goal scorer. It's funny because when hooper doesn't score people say he was running about and trying so it's alright. But it doesn't seem to count for samaras.

Working hard with little consistent end product just isn't good enough for Celtic, unfortunately.

Unless you're the captain, of course.

Rated a 65 on FIFA 12 and that's probably a little bit generous

i could at times defend Sammy, he has got ability, but what i have noticed is to be honest, Sammy does not get much service from the strikers on most occasions if you are honest Sammy makes his own attacks, stokes and Hooper stay well clear of Sammy and i feel if the likes of mccourt and foster can play Sammy in better, than stokes and Hooper can, and if we had a more direct midfield by dropping Ki , kayal. and brown, and selling them on, to bring in 2 more direct midfielders ones that can put there head in where it hurts, we would win a lot more games, there are types of player out there a Templeton, and a Daily in and out of the oppositions box all day long.

I said it when we signed the man and I'll say it again. He was bought for 1 million pounds. He plays like a 1 million pound player. Simple as that.

The flack he takes off fans is well over the top.

Hooper comes good, Samaras never seems to. We hold Gary in our trust for good reason. He's a reliable goal scorer, and a * fine one at that.

Hooper's good but not great. No better than Scott McDonald.

    Bang on. :50:

I'm more worried what we're going to get from our 3 million pound striker!

Samaras isn't good enough for Celtic. End of story. I hope we punt him in January, he's one of the most frustrating players ever.

    Samaras - bought for £1m - played 144 games - scored 43 goals - 0.29 goals per game

    Stokes - bought for £800k - played 46 games - scored 22 goals - 0.47 goals per game

    Hooper - bought for £2.4m - played 48 games - scored 27 goals - 0.56 goals per game

It's amazing that Lennon keeps on playing Samaras ahead of Stokes in the big games.

Before Sammy's huge goal drought (3 in 43 or something) he was 40 for 101 games.

Hooper also plays pretty much every single game with a set partner. Not dumped into the Old Firms and European Matches like Samaras is.

Hooper doesn't have a settle partner, he's had about 4 so far this season...
