    I'd suggest the best time to comment on him is when he hasn't played considering you won't get knee * * like you normally do if we get beat and he's played his part.

    I know you're not being serious, but to people who do use that line, it makes as much sense as me saying Brown, Wilson, Ledley etc. should be banned from getting haircuts and be forced to grow their hair long. Nonsensical logic!

    I am not against him getting a run in the team at all. He starts 1 out of about 15 at the minute, with 15 minute long occassional sub appearances in-between.

    If we're going to get rid of Samaras in the next transfer window, then he'll need to be playing much better than of late, otherwise no-one's going to bid for him. Scoring goals as a striker surely should be a pre-requesite!!!

    Having said that, I think he should be left out of the squad for the next 3 or 4 games and then brought on as substitute in games that we're clearly winning by a few games. His confidence must be shattered and I'm quite sure he's aware of the current feelings towards him from the supporters. He's not a game changing substitute, whatever Lenny thinks, so bringing him back slowly when we're winning must surely be the only way to restore his confidence, which should mean his performances will improve and some willing buyer takes him off our hands.

    To be fair to Sammy, I wouldn't expect many strikers to score consistently when they hardly ever start more than one game in a row, and half of those games are played out of position.

    He seems to be one of the star men for greece who have just beaten croatia 2-0 and look set to win their group, he performs well at a high level against top quality players in croatia and yet in the spl he looks nothing like the player at international level.

    It makes it even more frustrating to see him performing well on an international level yet be so inconsistent, and frankly poor at times, in the SPL. It just doesnt add up.
