Every player press conference I hear he has been mentioned, I think the meshing into Ange’s style that Ange has achieved has took advantage of some raw talent that we’ve had in the background but has taken it up a level as well.

John Kennedy by all accounts has always been excellent, as much as * would like to argue with that, but he’s went up a level under Ange, Gav Strachan has and if you listen to O’Dea, McManus and the youths they’ve also done it. Think we had a load of talent in the background and a lack of direction, now it’s all working towards the one goal in a structure geared towards a high level and a purpose. Even guys like Jay LeFevre before Mark Lawwell came in, Ange has revolutionised this club in such a short space of time. We need to get these processes and structures in concrete, cemented in place so it can’t fall apart without him.

The job off the pitch might be more miraculous than on it for me. It can’t be stressed enough the damage Lee Congerton, Rodgers and Lenny done in the back ground.

Imagine doing your apprenticeship under Lennon, then Ange comes in and you literally have to ignore everything you've been taught? What a mind * yet best thing to happen to you. The understanding that he will get from working under both will be amazing, he will definitely benefit from it.

Was like when I done my apprenticeship for the council, then went into the big bad world, that was a crash into reality lol

Don’t think he would have been taught anything either tbf. Just expected to know and that’s alright when * going well like the first 18 months. It’s when stuff isn’t going well you need the leadership there. Lennon isn’t the type that can not have his own background staff, Parker and Mjallby were invaluable first time round. So was Thommo the first year he was here. The 9 season, where we were playing * fantastic football, 4 trophies in a row and all at that point… Damian Duff was a major, major part of it. Him leaving in the summer was a major blow, and that background team didn’t gel with Lennon.

On reflection and the way it’s worked out I’m glad they’re still here and the man who forced a background team on ‘his man’ in Peter Lawwell has * off, but him not being allowed to bring his own guys in worked as well as we all thought when * started going wrong.

Then you have Ange. He’ll make guys gel with him, improve them, keep a level up, guide everybody around him, keep himself apart to a certain extent and be a monolithic figure.

The way he conducts himself is very old school with a modern approach, it’s hyperbolic as * but if you look at the way Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger dealt with their roles at United and Arsenal respectively, it’s very similar.

I also think Ange helps people around him realise their potential in a natural way.

GAVIN STRACHAN has tonight turned down the chance to become Shrewsbury Town boss to stay at Celtic.

SunSport can reveal the English League One club targeted the highly-rated Hoops coach to replace Steve Cotterill who left earlier this month.

They tabled TWO big money offers to lure the 44 year-old south - with their latest swoop made in the last 24 hours.

But it’s understood Strachan has rejected their advances after making it clear he wants to be part of Brendan Rodgers’ Parkhead return.

Celts chiefs were fully aware of the interest with Rodgers’ adamant he didn’t want to lose the respected coach.

And Strach - son of former boss Gordon - has quickly pledged his commitment to the Northern Irishman

It brings an end to weeks of uncertainty over his future.

Ange Postecoglou was desperate to take Strachan with him to Spurs along with John Kennedy.

But Celtic refused to let the pair go.

Shrewsbury then targeted Strachan and were prepared to offer him a lucrative deal.

But their hops have now been dashed.

Crucially, Strachan’s decision will be welcomed by key players at the club.

He has worked closely with several top team stars in behind-the-scenes one-to-one coaching sessions.

Japanese star Reo Hatate in particular has struck up a close bond with the Scot.

From what I've heard, in terms of Kennedy it's was less about Ange revolutionising things and more about Kennedy taking the opportunity to suggest things and Ange encouraging it when he saw them as being worth pursuing.

Kennedy grew some balls during the Ange tenure is how I interpret it.

I’ll absolutely say * interpretation that. Ange revolutionised top to bottom. He trusted Kennedy to do what he needed majorly, he was the day in and out training guy.

But he was heavily involved for probably 6 year odd before that point. * people were claiming he was doing a coup d’etat the 10 season fs.

People talk * bout him so much man its weird as *. Well, naw really, it’s back to the moment Ronny Deila was out his depth and got asked about conceding set pieces, and he threw Kennedy under the bus.

And since that, * have went for his jugular and talked pish. There’s * on here that have claimed he would go round Lawwell’s for dinner cos they were pals. Mental.
