Defo not a starter with the quality we have on the wings now, but as people have said it's gonna be a long season and he got a decent return for goals and assists in a strugglng team he was in and out of last season so could have a part to play.

Will be very hard for him to get game time infront of Forrest and Roberts on the right, he is useless on the left wing. But I trust Rodgers 100% to get a good look at him and see what he plans with GMS.

    I agree.

    He deserves his chance.

He's far to lightweight, has no heart and ultimately isn't good enough.

The full talk of the team having a different mentality is partially down the fact we're able to come back from losing/drawing positions and score goals, GMS and Armstrong are the very characters who hide in these scenario's - after his showing in the Semi last season he shouldn't play again for us.

I'd love to see him challenge for a start and show what he's capable of.. big season for him.

Agreed. He's * and we don't need him in the team. Rodgers is good but not sure he's good enough to make a Celtic player out of GMS.

    I don't think he's *, but I don't think he's a starter, either.

I don't think he has a long-term future with the club (beyond this season), but I still think he can be a useful player for us during this campaign.

So was Forrest. I think I'd like to see what Rodgers could do with him first.

After the resurgence of Brown and Forrest in the midfield after last season, I have confidence that Rodgers can squeeze every ounce of ability that Mackay Steven has out of him. It is up to him if he wants to knuckle down and try to get some game time and form under his belt.

He's got tonnes of ability, it's confidence that is often the problem. Plus the injuries he was carrying last season.

When we're playing well he's a good player to have, but when we're struggling he does tend to hide. He was invisible in the Cup against Rangers, for example.

Agreed. Mind you, out of the starting X1 that day, Tierney was the only player that wasn't poor.
