Needs to concentrate on his football rather than going to concerts.

I think that maybe playing for us is too big for him and his mate Armstrong. They both will leave us and prosper in a team with low expectations and demands and we'll all wonder why they could not do it for us. Just not got the mentality in my opinion.

Armstrong has got the mentality, still hope for him.
I've seen him play some blinders for Dundee United.
But needs to play central midfield.

GMS has played some blinders for them too...how come you've decided Armstrong is not ok to stay and GMS isn't? The lad has skills hopefully he gets the chance to showcase them. He has shown he has talent, he clearly wants to do well so maybe lay off him a bit.

Armstrong will be one of our Bhoys. Wee Gary is too light weight. Maybe a step above Willo Flood.

Get the * out... I'm sorry but you cannot actually compare the 2. Willo Flood was and never would be Celtic quality. GMS is but might not be able to cope with the demand of Celtic. He's got quality and skill to lose, doesn't deserve that type of conparison.

Mackay-Steven underwent long-awaited ankle surgery at the end of last season, having endured plentiful discomfort during the run-in to Ronny Deila's second Premiership crown. He hopes to be fully fit at some point next month and feels he will be a player renewed as he looks to make up for lost time in terms of impressing Rodgers.

'There was a bit of bone in my ankle which had been there for a lot of last season and needed taken out,' explained Mackay-Steven. 'It hindered me a lot with pain. I had surgery and the recovery time was always going to be three months.

'The best time to do the operation was at the end of the season once we had wrapped up the league title.

'It's a great relief to know that when I return I'll be pain-free and good to go with all guns blazing.

'There was a temptation to get the operation done earlier but I knew I could get by with pain killers. I was taking them in high doses quite a lot so that wasn't ideal. My stomach is probably not in a great state after last season.

So yes, he probably needed to man up against Rangers and attack with some fight and aggression, and not fade like a candle in the big moment. But he clearly wasn't 100% and with the type of game he plays, an ankle injury is one that is going to be extremely detrimental to his effectiveness. The guy has quality and he HAS SHOWN IT FOR CELTIC. I'm not saying he should stay, but he isn't as heartless as people make him out to be. He's always been my version of a fan favourite, likable guy who when on top of his game can excite fans. Maybe he does have a future here, maybe he doesn't. But he has enough talent to be a solid player for us and if he can get the oppurtunity under Rodgers to show it then I hope he can seize it.

McKay Steven will not make it here. Armstrong was the better buy. My opinion. Take it what way you think. If I'm wrong. Then that is good.

He certainly does JC. Everyone has a clean slate. And I hope I'm wrong. But when we signed the two. I was more happy with Armstrong.:50:

Gary-Mackay Steven knows he will be fighting for his Celtic future when he returns from injury, despite a reassuring talk with manager Brendan Rodgers. (The National)

Mackay-Steven has revealed how former boss Ronny Deila begged him to play through the pain barrier, with the winger taking painkillers before matches to keep him on the pitch despite an ankle problem. (Scottish Sun)

Indeed GMS has played some great games for United too, however he was also known for inconsistency, like playing one good game in every five, you might get away with inconsistency at Dundee United but not at a big club like Celtic.By comparison Stuart Armstrong was known as Mr Consistency and regularly turned in consistently good performances with United.

Makes sense, he wasn't great at all towards the end of last season. I think once he gets his fitness back he'll prove his doubters wrong.

This is what I'm hoping for. I know it's been mentioned but I was at the semi final and he was terrible. A long with others, obviously.

Willing to let BR run the rule over him and if he feels he's good enough, I'm happy with that. As long as it shows on the pitch, mind you.
