Is he the smallest guy to ever play for us?

I genuinely think Tierney is built better than GMS, and that's saying something.

He must be one of the weakest i'd say, can't even think of anyone close Brian McLaughlin?, James Forrest would batter * out him :smiley-laughing002:

It's the size of his heart not his body that's the problem.

He has nothing about him, everyone knew 1 robust tackle would be enough to scare him into hiding. And that's exactly what happened.

He's got the attributes, pace, skill, good movement and finishing when he get's through like you say, but that hiding yesterday was disgusting..

Who'd ever trust him in that game again? Next year?

I don't even trust him when we are at home to teams like Kilmarnock tbh, he's just always that inconsistent. He's the double of Chris Burke, I mind my cousin whos a hun absolutley detested Chris Burke when he played for them as he was a wee lightweight shitebag, GMS is the closest we've had to that.

Talented player with decent ability but a gust of wind could take the ball off him and leave him on his *.

Id much prefer players like Forrest, Ross Wallace, McGregor etc to him.

Forrest at least looks a bit built because he's all shoulders and no neck.

GMS is just a skinny wee runt :smiley-laughing002:

Think he sums up our team at the moment, fun in flashes, sometimes looks good, no heart, no spirit, absolute bottle merchants.

He was always a player I admired when he was at United and was really excited when we signed him but I get what you all mean about hiding, I wish he played like he did against Inter, if he just "went for it" there would be no problems with home.

His stats for this year aren't actually that bad if I'm being honest. If he could just be a bit more brave then he causes all sorts of problems for teams but that's up to him.

Heartless, he's the type of player who looks good when you're winning but disappears when the going gets tough.

GARY Mackay-Steven, like every other Celtic player, would have wanted to impress new manager, Brendan Rodgers, when pre-season training began last month. However, unlike his team-mates, the winger was not able to step out on to the training pitch at Lennoxtown.
Instead he’s been in the gym as he recovers from the ankle operation he had towards the end of last season. It’s also meant that he remained in Scotland when the squad headed out to Slovenia for a training camp.
While it has been frustrating, Mackay-Steven also knows that patience is the key to making a full recovery, and having endured previous injury setbacks, the players knows the wisdom of maintaining a positive focus.
The 25-year-old winger was at Celtic Park today to help promote the Homeless World Cup, which kicks off this weekend in Glasgow.
And he was joined by former Celtic Women’s players, Mandy and Tracy Burns, who are both coaching the Team Scotland (Women) at the competition.
The tournament will be held in the city’s George Square and features teams from all over the world, including reigning champions, Mexico.
And he gave an update on his rehabilitation to the official Celtic website.
“I’m feeling good,” he said, “and I’m probably about two-thirds of the way through my recovery now. After I got the operation at the end of last season, the recovery time was about three months so it’s been eight weeks now and I’m starting to step it up now .
“Hopefully in the next week or so I can get out and run because I’ve just been on a bike so far, but I’ve been stepping it up at Lennoxtown, doing more exercises and strengthening work which was the plan before, so it’s so far, so good.
“It’s been frustrating but I knew that when I came back I wouldn’t be fit for a little bit of time and I knew the boys would be out impressing the new gaffer while I’d be in the gym, so I’ve been focused on my rehab and that’s been going well.
“I’m just itching to get out there and show the manager what I can do, but I know that will come in time, and I just need to be patient.
“You need to accept that injuries come and go, and at the end of last season I knew long before the operation that I would need it. Obviously it’s a little bit different when a new gaffer comes in and you want to hit the ground running and impress, but for me, I’ve just got to bide my time until I’m fit, and then take it from there.”
Brendan Rodgers squad complete their pre-season tour of Slovenia tomorrow (Saturday) with a game against Maribor, having recorded two wins and one draw already. And on Tuesday the competitive football begins as they take on Lincoln Red Imps in Gibraltar in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League second qualifying round tie.
And having been in touch his team-mates over the past couple of weeks, Mackay-Steven says that confidence is high in the Celtic camp.
“I’ve spoken to the guys out in Slovenia and they’re enjoying it,” he said. “I think it’s hard work and pretty intense, but they’re getting fit and getting games which is what you need at this time of the season.
“It’s about getting minutes under your belt. You can do a lot of work on the training ground but games are ultimately where you get your match fitness. All the boys have been given run-out and everyone will be getting their fitness levels up for the big games ahead.”
