The bottom line is that he just isn't good enough, i'm sure he'd be decent enough for another team, but playing for Celtic carries a lot of pressure, a player needs a certain mental toughness, it would be better for him if he get's another club in the summer.

People on here were saying Armstrong wasn't good enough not so long ago, Brown would have been out the door as well if it was up to a lot of people on here.

While I don't think he's been playing well, and it's natural for players to get pelters if they're playing badly, the level of criticism against the quality of his performances has been disproportionate, particularly on Sunday where although he wasn't great, he was still one of the more lively players in a poor first half.

Personally I'd like to see him get more of a decent run in the team. If at the end of that he's still not settled, so be it. Sure Brendan knows best.

I wonder if we'd be seeing a different player had he scored against Man City in December. Had a great cameo and should've finished past Cabarello. Begs the question as to if we would've seen a more confident, clinical player now. Unfortunately I think he'll be off this summer.

Question is: will Armstrong be the same if he goes?

Think they broke up tbh. Armstrong and Sviatchenko look like the second most obvious couple on the team.

This is the norm now with a lot of fans , and the of cliché of your only as good as your last game has never been more true as now ,wot with managers being sacked after months in charge ,there is absolutely no patience in football fans or people for that matter , no one wants to wait for anything anymore .

Been out for ages , had a good start to his career here in a team that wasn't playing well ,looked better at that point than stu ,this is my reason for defending him , he needs a bit of support from us to get him on his way .

With all due respect, we're not cheerleaders. A professional footballer should have all the support he needs from within the coaching/sports science team he could possibly need to get going.

Definitely not mate, the fanbase has a major part to play in supporting both the clubs and individual players.

Yeah I get that, I think I maybe came at it from the wrong angle, I don't think he is necessarily not getting support from us. Compared to other players where it is uncomfortable at times to hear the abuse in the stands, I think a lot of us still have this boys back.

In saying that I still think given Brendan's qualities, and his backroom team, for a player to not be up to speed mentally or that, or able to 'get going' as the post mentioned, is a bit of a poor show on the player's part.

To be honest a totally agree with you, a would love wee McKay Steven to come good so would all the Celtic fans and Brendan aswell, guys like Boyota and simumovic been out of the team for ages came in and showed they are Celtic class one thing about Brendan he's gave everyone a chance, McKay Stevens had a few and he's just not Celtic class, think he will still have a decent career with a decent spl team, hope he does.

He looks so much like Rob Beckett, but without the overbite.

Not that it changes anything but I've always wondered if he prefers male companionship
