Kinda glad he was poor today because I think Brendan would have started him next week against the manky mob. Surely Paddy is nailed on to play.

    Not surprised.

He actually had been off form for them when we signed him. Think it was just a '* it' kind of punt. He started off ok, more so than Armstrong, but, long term I always felt Stuart had the bigger potential, think most did.

Your right Tony, as Celtic fans we should back all our players to a man when they take the field. I don't like any Celtic player taking personal abuse. The Huns are good at that, so leave them to it. This squad has been amazing this season and I am old enough to enjoy this brand of football that BR gives us.

I'd be surprised if GMS plays in the first team again this season. He is not good enough for us. BR will tell him he has no future at the club. GMS does not have the mental strength to play for Celtic.

Brendan spoke about the substitution during his post match PC.

I don't think he will play again for Celtic again, in fact I am sure of it.
The fact Brendan whipped him off at half time suggests to me he has clocked him.

Aye actually, Walker, Hayes and McGinn are more effective players

Never had the physicality, but always had the technical ability to make plays. Now, he has no confidence in his ability to make plays and he still doesn't have the physicality to compete for us. Unfortunate after the first 3-4 months he had that he's tapered off.

    Probably aye.

Not exactly a tommy wright type player though. Wouldn't be surprised if Hibs made a move.

He just doesn't have the right stuff.

He is a tidy enough player, very good when he is confident. Therein lies the problem though. Confidence, swagger, gallus call it what you like he doesn't seem to have it.

He was probably our most industrious player in the first half but he second and third guessed himself everytime he was faced with the final pass or shot.

I'm not sure you can coach that out of someone.

    Not at this stage no.

Hard to believe at times but he will be 27 in August.

I can see him back at DU or down league one/* championship team (where he'd be found out and have to come back up here or move to league one) in England

His biggest problem is that he doesn't have that mean streak, when bearing down on goal he seems to lose concentration and fluff his lines.

At most he is a squad player and even then he's behind two other players.

I'm not one for overly criticising our players or jumping the gun, but I've lost any hope whatsoever that GMS will ever be good enough to merit being here. As great as Brendan is, this one is a lost cause in my opinion. Hopefully he heads off in the summer, finds his level and gets back to enjoying his football - the pressure of being a Celtic player seems too much for him.

    Spot on.

Maybe one day it will click with folk that abusing and persistently only adds to the pressure on a player.

He continually took the ball and tried to do the right thing, when he could have taken the easy way out and passed the buck.
