He has worked wonders with Armstrong and Boyata but even Brendan can't polish a *.

I want squad players to be able to come in and not look too out of place. If Sinclair and Roberts were injured and GMS had to step in for a few games then I wouldn't be confident in his ability to step up.

 

And that is why I wanted us to keep Stokes. Stokes never hid and always popped up with vital goals and assists from both the left side and inside left positions. I mean why did we keep a player like GMS and release Stokes ?.
Puzzles me.

 

I'm sure this has been answered several times but was Stokes not out of contract? Easy to let him go.

 

Probably because of Stokes' lack of professionalism.

 

I think if he gets a run of games he will come good, he missed a few chances today but at least he got in the position to have those chances, i dont think forrest wouldve

 

Good player, horrible attitude. I had high hopes when he came in, but the Rodgers magic touch seems to have evaded him. Would be a laugh if * Ciftci came on to a game now and not him.

Mentioned it in the match thread I want him too do well and succeed here but missing those sitters today proves he lacks confidence should have been loaned out like Christie during the window

 

I fail to see how GMS has a horrible attitude? If he did, he would be nowhere near the team.

 

The only thing even coming close to an excuse for him, is that he lacks match sharpness. But I don't think that's a good enough reason tbh.

 

Why do you think he has a bad attitude ?

I hate how we are so quick to jump on players and write them off , we all should know better , he needs to sharpen up by playing ,he has all the attributes to make it here , could add more aggression to his play that's all.

 

I get what you're saying. But I think we could do worse than him as back up.

Wouldn't want him starting regularly, but I think he would be ok to fill in for Forrest, Roberts or Sinclair in some circumstances.

 

He can turn it around. Give him a chance to get his confidence back. Look at the difference in Armstrong now that he is playing with confidence, he is a completely different player now. Mackay Steven strikes me as a real confidence player and one that will struggle if low in confidence.

 

Stokes was a good player but Basically guys that post pictures of themselves lying in bed with their new burd and go aboot sticking the nut on elvis impersonators don't quite fit in with Brendan s code of conduct
