No thanks. None of them could get in our team at he minute so wouldnt improve our first 11. If we are only signing 3 players this summer they need to improve our first 11 so we can have a chance of getting in the champions league. These players wouldnt get in our team so no point wasting more money on squad players.

 

i think we'd get them both for around £3m. £1m is just taking the *. if we want them, we'll have to move fast.

didn't you say the exact same thing last week?

i have said in the past regarding your remarks on some Dundee Utd players that i doubt you have seen much of them this season. these two could easily push for starting places here. would force the best out of others as well.

Just reading the link above and you have to notice how stupid United seem to be regarding contracts.

The amount of good players they lose on frees is beyond stupid!

Last season they lost Conway, Gomis and Buaben on frees and this season they are losing Pernis, Kenneth, Dixon and Robenson.

 

Was that £1m for GMS and Russell combined ?

 

I wouldn't sign Mackay-Steven, should offer up to £1.8million for Russell though.

They may not be under pressure to sell GMS, but we could get Russell for a decent price seeing as he only has 12 months left on his contract. Clubs like Utd can't afford to miss out on decent fees for their players, and then loose them for peanuts.

I would like us to sign both, but Russell would be my priority, as he would have more to offer our team next season than GMS would.

 

Can see one of the clubs being Wigan they are going to lose Victor Moses ,They like a player from the spl.

Would love both here think £3m could get them both.

 

I really like the look of GMS. Great talent, beats players for fun. If I could have one or the other I'd pick GMS.

Beats players for fun maybe but weak, doesnt lift his head quite enough and doesnt strike the ball well enough for me. Kind of reminds me of dare I say it Chris Burke but with a couple of tricks

Russell for me is a more complete allrounder and a bit more intelligent at playmaking and striking the ball, not to mention work rate, heading and pace.

Now that they have had bids turned down and some are saying we could get them for £4m just stating that i dont think we should spend that kind of money on these players.

i watched these 2 players closely in games against them and us and wasnt impressed at all,i would spend money elsewhere

 

I'd take Russell now but not sure in Mackay-Steven, maybe sign him but loan him out for a season.
