We'll end up missing out them both, I'm not too bothered though, neither of them are better than what we've already got.

When was the last time we were even linked with either of these 2?

I can only imagine Neil doesn't want either of the players, otherwise you'd imagine we'd have signed them by now.

I like Johnny Russell for one reason, My friend is on trial at Dundee UTD and gets time to interact with first team players when he's cleaning their boots but the main people that he has been talking to has been Willo Flood and Johnny Russell and he told me that every time JR talks about THEM he calls them mutants which is probably the only reason I wanted us to sign him!

    THE END

£2 million for both of them? Apparently Crystal Palace are looking at them for £2 million.
For a goal scorer that would run through brick walls for us and is a die hard, lifelong fan and a the most skillful Scottish player around with bags of pace, that's a deal that would make a lot of sense.

It's bordering on obsession with these two now. Can't wait until Celtic don't buy either of them.

As I've said, I would be disappointed if Celtic spent any money on these players. I think Celtic really need a creative influence, however, I've not seen anything from either Mackay-Stevens or Russell to suggest they're the answer. In my opinion they're no improvement on what Celtic have already got.

If the price is £2m then there isn't really a huge risk factor. They're both a little raw but could be very useful players for us.

If both go to palace then we will lose out on them forever. Either they will excel and will subsequently be out of our price range or they will struggle, in which case we wouldn't want them anyway.

These 2 could be the new Fletcher & McCarthy i.e 2 cracking players we hesitated on and lost.

£2-3m is not a risk for 2 players we know can cut it in the SPL at the very least.

Get them both in the door. Commons isn't getting any younger and Hooper's probably away in the summer. These two will do nicely for the SPL at least. GMS could probably cut it in the CL as well, and you never know, Russell might be able to too. Look at Scott McDonald; how many of us thought he'd be a CL standard striker?

if mcnamara got rid of their 2 best players he'd be hounded out the job up there ffs

and they'd probably rot in our reserves

I'm pretty keen on both these guys. If they end up in the Premiership I think we'll regret not making a move for them.

You see this is a * problem in our game. We complain that the SPL is a * standard but how many of the other teams best players have we bought over the years? We buy them, find out they are not what we expected, they * away in the reserves and on the bench therefore making the team they came from weaker then we * complain about it! * off!
