He's a different player from both sammy is superb in big games on the left but if he played behind the strikers he'd be superb although I still see sammy as a striker. and we all no commons quality but when he's out injured or off form g.m. Smith would definetly get the fans off there seats leaving commons fighting for his place back.g.m.s also has age on his side. Get him in!! Aswell as j. Russel who would also step up his game to suit our style. If it was 3 m It's not a lot of money for these 2.

I think GMS would improve us, he offers something different and would be a good challenge to Sammy, also they could improve us in the future as they'd become better players with us!
It's like saying Watt doesn't improve us or McGeouch doesn't etc, they need time to progress and then they will!

Really do not get the hype surrounding Mckay Steven. Anytime he has played against us anyway I have not been impressed.

We have quality full backs and in general are far superior team to Dundee United. It isn't easy but GMS has played very well against us a couple of times up at Tannadice.

He also absolutely destroyed the huns at Ipox and I mean absolutely destroyed. Broadfoot was running about kicking shadows the entire match.

Would hope we would match any bids for either player.

I think there is better out there, any players i want now are players who are gonna actually make the starting eleven and enhance the side, not sure either would do this.

No. GMS has never really done it in a big game whereas Xavi and Messi do it regularly in big games. and United play us 4 times a season at least not 1/2 every few years.

Russell on the other hand has done well in big games before.

Broadfoot should never be used as a yard stick for...well anything. He's * dross.

I do agree with you however that GMS would be a good signing. He's clearly a talented young guy and we are desperate for a natural left winger. Russell is a good player aswell and he'll always give 100% but is he really any better than Stokes or Watt? I wouldn't be dissapointed if we signed either tbh but i would prefer GMS.

Neither of them will improve our team, they would be squad players at best and would do nothing but stunt the development of our own youths, who we should be trying to push.
I would much rather see Watt, Twardzik, Herron, McGeouch, Forrest et al on our bench than Russell or GMS.

listen mate we have been hearing bout mgeouch etc for a while now and they still havent produced , looking for celtic to show a bit of intent in this window and the double signing of those two for around 1.5 million would be a start

 Ok then. Its my opinion, don't think he would really improve the team that greatly.
